    Arrival day

Agree with all of the above. Take the day to get acclimated to your resort, stock your fridge and then head over to either Boardwalk or DTD for dinner/shopping. If you headed right out, a visit to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach would work as well.

Anyone been towed from Resort Parking

Way to go CarolA!! We have a lot of those drivers in our town as well. I just responded to someone on the Ft. Wilderness Camping board that thinks its okay to Pool hop as long as you don't get caught!!! It's a no brainer ... if you're staying at a WDW resort and don't want to worry about...

What would you pack for early March?

We go end of March and take mostly shirts/shorts but ALWAYS have a sweatshirt and jeans with us. We do occasionally have a cold front that comes through. (I could use one of those "cold fronts" right now ... LOL ... we live in Michigan!!!)

    expensive bags in WDW

I also use a fanny pack at WDW (and any place else I travel on vacation). All the valuables like money, ID, tickets etc are in there. We also will use a backpack for water, jackets, snacks. It just makes sense to leave the expensive stuff at home.

    Our first Disney trip!! Wow!

Thanks for sharing your family's adventure with us. We drive down from SW Michigan with a pop-up camper so can relate to the long drive; although I do enjoy having my own car, bed, etc with me once I'm there. We also enjoy all the World Showcase entertainers ... much more so than the...

    Off-site vs. on-site, Please help!

One other thing to keep in mind. With a 3-yr old in your group, you may want to "split up" occasionally. I can just see that the 3-yr old is tired and needs to go back to the hotel, but you and your girlfriend want to stay. Another big plus for staying on-site. However, since you...

    Crockett's Tavern

We also love hanging out at Crockett's Tavern ... I think it is one of the great WDW secrets!!

question on Class C and pop up on same site

I would call Ft. Wilderness and check to be sure before you get there.

Any choice of site when arriving early?

If you get there before your site is ready they will NOT tell you the site number. This happened to us last year and so we were given a number to call and check when the site was ready. I was offered another site that was ready but chose to wait for the assigned spot because they assured me it...

First WDW trip in April any suggestions?

We'll be leaving WDW as you get there! Agree with the other people ... if you can change your dates, do it. Otherwise -- get your hotel room ASAP. I also would steer clear of the values and don't think you'll get your money from a deluxe as it's your first visit and you'll be on the go all...

Pack for all week or do laundry???

We always pack for the full 10 day vacation; however, with hanging out by the pool so many days in our swimsuits, we don't go through that many clothes (we camp). My husband always thinks I'm going to do laundry, but we never quite get around to it (I don't promise anything going in though)...

Camping Newbie with a few questions....

Just a couple of comments: You don't "need" a golf cart unless you are disabled. We've never gotten one but they do look like fun. They're expensive and if you really wanted to rent one for a day or two would recommend you select a day that you'll just be goofing around the resort (non-park...

Two questions .. 1st time at FW

Last year was the first year we had to wait a significant amount of time. I think the site was empty but they just hadn't gotten the clearance that it was cleaned. Anyway, to be on the safe side ... have your swim things handy and just pre-register (they will give you a number you can call...

March 2004 Adults and Solo Travelers

The kids are getting older with my #1 a freshman in college and with a different spring break than #2 who is a senior in HS. We were there last year for 9 nights, but the time went so fast we decided to do something different this year. My DH and I will arrive at Ft. Wilderness on March 27...

Leaving in 3 days for 2nd trip, but have new questions (m)

I'll try to comment on some of your questions: 1. Don't know much about the vouchers, but if I were you I'd just plan on getting to the MK early and have them activated and are in line when the park opens. Don't you just activate them at guest relations/ticket counter, prior to proceeding...

    Tower of Terror Question

I think you'll be fine. You might want to prep your child a little so that they are not surprised by the weird sounds and the dropping. Assure them that they are safe in the seat, etc. I'd go for it!!!

Checking In On Monday, Checking Out On Friday

Depends on what time you check-in ... Anything after noon, I would just hang out at the resort and get acclimated ... maybe go to Downtown Disney or even spend the evening at the Boardwalk. Again, on the last day, if you only have 1/2 a day, I would save your park ticket for your next trip...

    Urgent Question! Help!!

I think they can check them at the front-desk of WDW hotels ... they've done this for me at Ft. Wilderness before. It basically shows each and every day/time/place the ticket was used. Good way to keep track of what the guests are doing, huh?

WDW during college spring break 3/14 - 19? Should I go?

The weeks wrapping around Easter are usually the worst. We are usually down there the last week of March unless Easter is late and then it's the first week of April. Less busy .... shorter waits, but also shorter park hours Real busy .... longer waits, but also longer park hours (like 11:00...

    What else can we do!!

Someone mentioned the pools at Ft Wilderness ... those are only for people paying/staying at Ft Wilderness (just like any other hotel/resort pool) and are not for the general public or those staying at the other WDW resorts. You don't say whether or not you are a WDW resort guest. If you...
