    Park Hoppers: Yay or Nay?

We've done the parks with the hoppers and without. We find that it depends more on where we stay than anything. If we stay at a monorail resort or at BW / YC-BC, we always get it. Reason being is that it is just too convenient to walk into to Epcot to eat if you're staying behind it. If...

Armchair Imagineering - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I love the idea of the park celebrating different "genres" that Disney has taken part in over the years. If I could build it, here's the general layout : 1) Star Wars Galaxy as the home of sci-fi and action adventure - the current simulator and store stay put. - the American idol theater is...

5 Epcot Rumors (A Disney Rumors video is on pg. 6)

I may be in the minority, but I'd welcome any ride / play area / distraction in the world showcase. With a ds5 and dd2, they get extremely bored every time we go through the countries. When you take a step back and look at what there is to do in the ws, it boils down to 3 things : window shop...

It's not just fastpass+ that bothers me

I agree with the general premise of this thread completely. I'm one of those Disney travelers that is trying the FP+ system for the first time this year. My wife and I have been 8 times since we met in 2003. We've taken our kids (ds5 and dd2), 3 times in the last 18 months. The best part of...

    Most Overrated Restaurants

Probably not going to be popular, but after eating at 90% of the dis restaurants, my family was not impressed with Be Our Guest. The atmosphere was good, but the food wasn't worth the price of admission. We've also had issues with the whole Tusker House Breakfast experience (although the food...

How valid are crowd predictor websites?

We used to rush out to get to the early emh park and found that there were many people just like us who wanted to get there early and get their day started. Then one trip, we had tickets to the not so scary parade, but we're disappointed hat all the lines were so long during the after hours...

The GREAT DISNEY WORLD RESTAURANT TOURNAMENT (COMPLETED)

Great thread, interested to see where the majority lands. In the theme park restaurants though, you left out the Plaza in MK. It's not the fanciest of places, but the food and service have always been good. Don't know what you could take out, but maybe do a play in round against one of the...

Morning at the parks, afternoon nap in hotel, then what?

We've worked this same plan many times. We hit one park in the morning and leave right after lunch (around 12:30-1:00) for nap and down time. We usually schedule a dining reservation for 5pm (our kids eat early) and then get in two to three after dinner rides before heading back to the resort.

    Do You Park Hop

With two kids, we generally upgrade to hoppers when we stay near a park, where we can walk or take a boat/monorail. With these we have the option of heading back to the resort mid day and then go to the closest park after dinner. When we've stayed at the moderates where we have to bus in and...

Looking for feedback/have a few questions about my touring plan for Epcot

For lunch, try making adr's at via Napoli. They have large tables that are perfect for 8 or 9 and the pizza is great.

    Cape May Breakfast?

We've been to every character breakfast at the parks and resorts, and Cape May was our favorite by far. The food was very good and it is a much quieter than the others. Our kids also loved the paper table clothes, they let you color on the table cloth.

Disney's Animal Kingdom May Need More Help Than Avatar

Originally Posted by FlightlessDuck Not enough rides to be a park, and too few animals to be a zoo. Besides EE, it's very disappointing. Couldn't agree with this more. With a ds5 and dd1, AK is just not a place we want to visit and we've skipped it on our last 3 trips. The park is two to three...

Whats a typical Disney day for you and your families?

I wake up around 6:45, grab the mugs and head for morning coffee. Get back to room around 7:15, wake up my wife and ds4 while we try to let the 9 month old sleep. My wife gets ready for the day while I get DS dressed. She makes bagels in the room and gets DS fed. Baby wakes up and we get her...

    BCV to dHS

Just got back for bwv, which is right next door. There were no buses to DHS, just a choice of walk or boat. The walk was about 15 minutes. We found that walking in the morning then catching then oat on the way back worked good for us.

Do buses go from park to park?

We were there this past week. There are buses from Epcot to other parks, but didn't see anything for ak to MK.

1day only....who wants to help me plan this out?

My wife and I did 3 parks in a day last Jan. Really fun. I would suggest hitting Epcot right away if they have the early hours, grab a fast pass for test track and walk on Soarin. Go back to test track then head out the back of the park and walk through the boardwalk area to Hollywood studios...

WhY is ~DiSnEy~ so CROWDED in *FeBrUaRy*?????

I grew up in Mass and lived in NH for 10 years before moving to NC last year. Mass and NH both have school vacations in Feb, the last two weeks of the month. This was when the bulk of my friends/family would travel to Disney - it was the best way to avoid the snow. Summers were never good...

thread for renting dvc and I really dont understand

Going in two weeks for our first DVC rental. We're in a studio at BWV for 7 nights. Total cost was $1300 with another $1083 for 7 day park hoppers. Last year it cost us the same for 6 days at CBR. I compared the BW rate to what it would take booking through the dis site and we saved close to...

    Simply overwhelmed...where to start?

For the hotel, I'd always recommend staying atbthe resort, the buses to the parks make life much easier than driving, parking and so on. If you're planning on hitting the parks for the bulk of your time, then value resorts as a great place to stay, rooms are nice...they have a bed...what else...
