Conundrum: Epcot and F&W strategy- WWYD

Sooo I am fortunate enough to be taking some extended family members with us at the end of August to Disney World. SOOO happy that we will get to attend a MNSSHP while we are there, as well as anticipating that Food and Wine will be starting as well. My concern is that we are going to Epcot on a...

For those who RECENTLY rented from Alamo @ MCO....

We rented from Alamo Aug 14-21 and reserved a standard suv. There was whatever was listed in the reservation page (can’t remember what is pictured) but we lucked out and grabbed a GMC Acadia. It was huge and had room for 7. Loved it! There was also some kind of fancy Jeep but the Acadia was...

    Family Beach Cabana #20?

We had #20 in August! We loved it!! We called for the golf cart to take us to lunch, but walked back- it wasn't a terrible walk at all! Enjoy!

Hartford, CT area what to do?

Visit Glastonbury- It's upscale, has lots of restaurants, and close to Hartford. There is also an nice Science center in Hartford. I agree Hartford isn't the best tourist spot, but there are many things close to it. My husband commutes everyday from our house (20-25 min drive) to Connecticut...

    Where have you been stuck?

We had to walk off of BTMM once, and we have been stuck on HM, Buzz, and SE, but those always seem to have stops, perhaps to load and unload guests with mobility issues.

    Teenage son with depression help!

I thank you both for your insight, The Mystery Machine and ZachandElli. I do agree with what you both say about psychiatrists and mental health needing specialists to diagnose and treat effectively. However taking that big step to a psychiatrist before checking in with your GP can seem less...

    Teenage son with depression help!

I am not sure why everyone is saying not to get meds from your GP- We see a family doctor, who knows the history of all of us. When my DS was 15, his anxiety was getting overwhelming. Our family physician has known about his anxiety issues for over a year, and he agreed that strategies they had...

    Most overhyped activities/things...

We have been on one cruise and taking a b2b in August, this time with the kids. First cruise was only 3 days on the Magic, so nothing stood out as over or underrated to us. On one of the b2b cruises, we are doing a FE for the the first time. It seemed like fun, but let me tell you, some of the...

Late flight home, what to do?

Last year we rented a car and drove to EPCOT- we were there by 9:30. We spent the day there- our flight was at 8:00pm. We rented from National and dropped it at MCO- It only cost $65.

    PT Cruisers

Gas mileage isn't *that bad* ;) The problem that I see most is when tank gets below 1/3 of a tank, gas has a tendency to disappear at an alarming rate. It has a smaller tank than my husbands Mustang, so if we take it on long trips gas *appears* to deplete faster. Or at least that is my theory...

    PT Cruisers

I have a 2008 and I love it. I agree that it sucks on gas mileage and has a horrible turning radius. It is also not a gutsy car, being 4 cylinder and all. I have had a few minor problems with it, but I love mine.

    Tough to be aBug... scary?

My DS (now 18) was very sensitive to noise, and all around sensitive in general- He didn't freak out as a toddler, but I do remembering taking him out when he was about 3- by 6 he was fine with it.

    How thick are the walls?

Oh the hanger noise :lmao:- we had to take ours down, too. We didn't have trouble hearing our neighbors making noise (talking, tv, crying children) during the night, but one afternoon, we did hear the parents reprimanding their child (in a nice manner), saying they were going to tell Captain...
