I didn't check the table to see if it lifted but I did notice there are 2 little stools tucked under the long counter next to the drawers than can be used for extra seating around the table.

We were in one of the closer rooms to the long wing and didn't hear much noise in our room at all. Maybe a little sawing mid morning one day but it was not loud. It was more noticeable if you were walking outside near that part of the building. I didn't mind it...the sound of progress! 😊

I'm checking in later this week. Requested a refurbished room so fingers are crossed. Would love to hear from someone who has checked in over the past few weeks and if they received a NON refurbished room. Maybe they've stopped checking people into the old rooms?

I have a studio booked at BRV for those same dates. How did they notify you of the move?

Yes, we're reconsidering. We have B2B Mediterranean cruises booked for June/July to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation. Was finally getting comfortable with the COVID situation and now have to worry about war, ugh. Our final payment is coming up in a few weeks. We'll see.

Is there anyone out there who has recently stayed at GFV and could provide an update regarding the status of the refurb? Sounds like they started from the top floors but I'm curious which floors they are working on now. Any chance it'll all be done by mid-March? Thanks!

Okay, the reason why I ask is that I can book AP discount hotel rooms with an unactivated pass. Was hoping the system works the same way.

So I have a Gold AP voucher that hasn't been activated yet. Does anyone know if I'm eligible to book tomorrow? The pass will be activated before March.

I know...I was disappointed to see this too. I think there will be many disappointed DVC member who call to book on Thursday just to find out they have to use points to book early. They didn't make that clear to members, at least not in the email I received on Thursday.
