    Saturday 12/30 mid-day arrival

I guess I should have mentioned that tix are not an issue. We have 3 day passes so we can wander the parks. I'm not sure we'll be able to resist going to the parks even if its just to wander and explore. I was hoping to get some guidance along the lines of which rides to avoid in heavy crowds...

    Saturday 12/30 mid-day arrival

WDW veteran and we know it will be crazy crowded. We should be arriving to the Hard Rock around 11am on Saturday. Assuming we're getting into the park sometime between noon and 1pm, with the express pass, what would your plan be? We are a family of 6. Kids are 17, 15, 11 & 9. Know our way...

Do we need park hoppers? (How do you use yours?)

There's lots of ways this could work. For example, in theory, we RD AK, do all of our FP+ by mid-day, snag a FP+ for a night time event elsewhere(remember this is in theory), head to hotel for an afternoon break. Maybe we could add PH to our tix on way out of AK or at the new park, at Guest...

Do we need park hoppers? (How do you use yours?)

Questions for the group because we used to be in the "like the flexibility" camp but are now in the "we'll add it if we decide we want it" camp for our trip this winter. Can we add it by stopping by Guest Services at a park any time or better yet can we do it via the mobile app? Also, can...

    NYE at Universal/IOA?

So just decided to go to UO 12/31-1/1. As info: Staying at HRH. Never been to Universal/IOA before. (Somewhat experienced WDW visitors.) Other than being open late are there any special events or fireworks for New Year's Eve at Universal/IOA?

Would you participate in a Disney Boycott to bring the customer service back up?

100% agree. And I wouldn't have said "shame on you" but you (the OP) wrote it, not me. In the last 5 years my family has had 2 fantastic vacations at WDW and will have as many more as fast as I can scrape together the money and time off to do them. We have 12 of us going this Nov and I'm...

Living in Disney's Golden Oaks Community Yet?

I would certainly love to be in a position to spend $1.4m (and more) for a half acre of land next to a hotel if I so desired. To mickeyfanfl - I did some research on this last year and I'm curious - did you get your first choice of lot?

    Visiting in November

We will be there the same week, 11-18th. Looks like our biggest obstacle for planning will be that the first weekend will be heavy with the end of F&W and Jersey Week and Veterans Day on Monday and the second weekend will be the Turkey Day crowd starting to ramp up. The other weekdays should...

Is Touring Plans that much better than EasyWDW?

TP is worth it for the lines app alone. If you don't have a smartphone then you can easily get by with Josh's info at easywdw.com. I use both extensively but if I had to get buy without the Lines app in the park it would frustrate. Plus, Lines chat is awesomesauce.

What COST took you by suprise?

No, he was following the 5yo as they played Indiana Jones around the room. Monkey see monkey do. In the spirit of looking for a positive spin this was the cheapest broken bone we've experienced since Disney paid for the Ambulance, ER bill and taxis.

What COST took you by suprise?

Thanks for the compliment but before you go too far I should add one detail. We DID go on the ride before heading back to the hotel. I am, after all, a registered Dis Commando!

What COST took you by suprise?

So I do most of the planning but on the flight on the way down last March for spring break trip DW mentions how neat it would be to have those Mickey light up balloon inside a balloon things in our room as part of the "party on we're at Disney World!" feeling. She says she knows they are...

    The Villages & DVC

My parents have had friends who've lived at The Villages for 20 years and they just moved down there last year. Love it. I've been a few times for visits and seems like a great place. I'm only 43 but looking forward to the day when I have to decide whether my FL snowbird home is in The...

What happened to the fanny pack?

Long answer: Was a fan of the backpack or fanny pack until the first time I took just my older kids to the park and left the little ones with DW in the room. The bag check line was ridiculous and we just sailed through the walk in line. It was like I had been freed from a punishment I...

A new(?) complaint...Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

I'm a big fan of this attraction and I think one of the funniest things about it is that such an acronym-obsessed community never abbreviates its name.

    Remaining balance on giftcard

There's an app for that. You put in GC # and it tracks it for you. I have the app - haven't used it yet for a card so I can't give you a review but it came highly recommended.

trying to get from lights camera stunt show to indy jones in 2 minutes

I'd back that Yachtsmen ADR up to about 7-730 if you think you can get by on some extra snacks along the way. But I don't know what else you have planned that night.

    United Mileage Plus Card question

I knew about the first year waived fee but thanks for the info on the bags. I still can't find anything on the priority boarding so I wonder if it is just a perk of being a cardholder regardless of how you came about the ticket you are flying on.

    Eating with Cinderella questions-your opinions

On the one hand the two TS credits are worth it just to experience the inside of the castle once, get a meal and see my DD "wish upon a star". OTOH 1900 is better if actual interaction with Cindy is a priority beyond the 15 seconds of 1 on 1 for a photo. Maybe it is planned or maybe it is...

    United Mileage Plus Card question

Every time I call them to ask this question I am on hold or don't have time to go through the hoops of the automated voice system. Sent an email but it will be at least a few days before I get an answer. So asking the travel pros here if you know the answer to this. I know the $95 annual...
