The one thing I'll say about the Mailbag is that the flap can sometimes be bothersome. Because it's magnetic, if the bag is full, the flap does not always stay secured and can flap around. I used the mailbag at one point too, but the flap bothered me. That's just my two cents though- if it...

I like the VB small backpack when I have lots of stuff to carry, but when I'm in more of a messenger style bag/over the shoulder mood, I use a VB Claire or VB Frannie bag (depending on how much I have with me). Both have served me well.

I've never been to the DL Half, but I know for the WDW half, they were on a stage to start the race. Kinda hard to take a picture of them at the start when you are in the middle of your corral, but if you are toward the front and off to the side, then you might be able to get some shots of them.
