    Crocs--really?

I own croc ballet flats and thong sandals. I would never think of wearing my flats in the parks. I love them as my work shoes but not for 10 plus hours of continuous use. I always pack one pair of sandals for Disney. They are not the big thick kind either. I like the thinnest they have...

How many days do you pack for?

Family of 3, going for 7 days 6 nights. Packing for 4 and planning on doing Laundry. I used to pack for more until I realized my arrival outfit can also be mixed in for the last days. All the bottoms I pack are neutral so it is I can mix and match. Plus I always end up buying other apparel there.

DD 13, has decided she'd rather not go to WDW with the Family!

In my humble opinion... Let her know how much you want her to go, but leave her behind if that is her choice. I would buy her a nice souvenir at WDW and check in with her everyday. You are going to be busy with the kiddos, and your own comfort. You don't need to add a sulking teen to your...

Going to Disney without the spouse

we first went to Disney in 2011 as a family of 3 (DS was 3) I went again in 2013 but this time is was DS and I only. Hubby stayed behind with DD who was 8 months old at the time. Hubby is not a big Disney fan, but I am. I am not saying I do what I want, but I did talk it over with him and agreed...

    “Toms” shoes for the parks?

My go-to shoes for my trips are Croc sandals and Toms. Just wear what is comfy for you. I once even wore a pair from Walmart, the memory foam was very comfy. Wear what is comfy for you.

    What am I forgetting...

I gave my 5 year old a small backpack to carry. 12x10 inches plain black, one front pocket. He carries his sweater and resort mug in it. Small front pocket had his wallet (a small kiddie one) wet wipes and tissues. I have since done the same with my other two, so far they haven't lost or left...

Jet Blue and what can a 2 yr old sit in!!!!

I used the Caress harness once on a trip (back in 2013) on a 4 hour non stop flight from AZ to MCO. My Ds was 3 at the time and we were using Disney transportation. I also did not buy it, but rented it from someone in EBay for $30. It was easy to install and Ds didn't mind it. My kiddos will not...

    Sams Club reward dollars

Yes! I was told by the cashier I had $30, so I didn't use it on that purchase. Instead I went to Customer Service and asks about the gift cards. The lady told me I could use it towards what ever I wanted or could just take it as cash. SO I bought $150 worth of Disney Gift Cards for $120!

What do you sacrifice for Disney?

*I stock up on clothes for my kids once it goes on clearance at the end of the season (winter, summer) one size larger. My kiddos are small and I take advantage of Target deals. *we no longer have cable or satellite service, we use Amazon, Netflix, HBO and Hulu *I have become an excellent...

Did anyone else get the Disney survey that DW is exploring resort-to-resort 'taxi' concept?!

I would use a Disney (uber style) service if I could pay it with my magic band. They would have to have a huge fleet to accommodate families with young kids (car seats, boosters) and handicap accessible as well as everyone else. They would have to make it as easy and convenient as Uber in order...

    Dimes For Disney

I have a 2 liter coke bottle for dimes, first time using it so not sure how much it will be by the time our trip comes around. We also use a decent size piggy bank for all of our other loose change, got $105 out of that one last time even though it was only half full. My bank has a free coin...

    Motion sickness and Star Tours

This is Ds favorite ride and unfortunately it makes Dh and I both sick. Dh sit's with the smaller ones outside while Ds and I enjoy the ride, well he enjoys it. I hold on as long as possible before closing my eyes and loosening my body to go with the flow. I must admit I would rather ride than...

Has anyone done an extended family trip?

This was my experience with traveling with extended family, I believe in 100% communication so no assumptions can be made. Ds and I vacationed with my cousin and her family (4 total) in 2013. She had never been and I had been at WDW once before. I will admit I did invite my self and her dates...

What's the weather like mid Oct. at Disney for those that have been in Oct.??

My trip back in Oct. of 2013, I wore capris and shorts. I kept a cardigan handy and only wore it some nights. I must add that I am from AZ so 85 for me is perfect weather and 60 is sweater weather

    Looking for chimichangas...

Disneyland has a few chimichanga and Turkey Legs cart scattered around. I have looked and looked trying to find a similar one at WDW at any of it's parks. I keep finding Turkey Legs but no chimichangas. Is there any at WDW? It's one of the few items my family and I enjoy and a must on every...
