    In need of expert advice!

I agree with Doc. Try the 1 or 2 BR. Once you stay in a 1 or 2 BR, you probably will not go back to the GF again except to eat at Citricos. Also, my family was very worried about no daily maid service. Our fears were unfounded. We (like CarolMN) do not use the "decorative" stove and do...

    Question regarding BWV bathrooms

I don't think that it's 30 ft in a 1 BR but, I was just in a 1 BR at BWV and recall that there was no outlet next to the side of the bed nearest the bathroom. I suspect that it wouldn't be a problem in other 1 BRs at BWV. Can he disconnect briefly and run on the battery? Or, keep a portable...

    Restaurant at Vero- Felix's

DisDaydreamer- If you go to Deb's site (http://www.allearsnet.com/) and then menus, you can look at the menu for Bongos in Downtown Disney. It serves Cuban cuisine but IMHO is only fair quality and overpriced. Address: 43rd Avenue south of First Street next door to (attached to) a gas...

    Restaurant at Vero- Felix's

Just back from Vero. Went to Sonyas, Shutters, Capt Hirams, etc. The best restaurant we went to (and the cheapest) was a Cuban place called Felix's. We eat Cuban food in NY (Victors, etc) and in Miami (on Calle Ocho). This place was just as good and more similar in price to Miami than NY...

Splitting stay with Vero and WDW

I just did 3 nights at Vero and 3 at BWV. I felt 3 nights at BWV was too short. 3 at Vero and 4-5 at BWV would have been great.

    Advice needed

I think that there is a National and an Alamo at the Car Care Canter. I took the shuttle sent to my hotel from the car care care center to get my car.

    Notorious BCV housekeeping strikes again!!

Funny, but I stayed at BCV for part of President's week and we had no pillows or blankets for the pullout sofa. It wouldn't have been a problem except we found out at 11 PM and everyone was exhausted and wanted to get to bed. Mousekeeping was nice about it, but it really was an unnecessary...

    Vero in the rain

We're going to Vero and then BWV for a few days in about a week. It looks like it may rain for a day or two of our Vero stay. Any suggestions of things to do at the resort or in the area that are indoors? Also, is there high speed internet available at Vero? Wireless or wired? Thanks.

    Walk to MGM from BCV?

I always walk from BWV to MGM. I find the walk to BCV a bit long however. Enen the kids (teens) usually take the boat there.

What can we do for Birthday?

We did a birthday celebration on a fireworks cruise. Call WDW and ask about it. They supply the drinks, cake, boat and captain. We had 8 in our boat. It really was fun.

Split Stay Question - What would you do?

We've always had Disney transfer our stuff. It's really easy but your bags can get to the new resort as late as 3PM or so. They won't bring your bags to your new room until you are there. You will keep your old room ID until you check into your new resort so if DDP or park tickets are linked...

    DVC for DUMMIES????HELP

As Tomandrobon said and I would strongly suggest buy whrere you usually want to stay. If you usually want to stay at BCV, buy BCV resale and add on there or at another resort. It will make your life less stressful.

    questions re: BWV

I agree that I think that this "long hallways" thing is overblown. I wouldn't worry about it. I am not sure that it's any further from the lobby than at VWL, for example where you have to walk outside, get to the elevator and walk down the hall- although I enjoy the VWL walk to my room more...

    DVC ownership /specials needs

It's important that you do as Chuck says and tell them "medical necessity" and not just "request". You get priority over all of the other requests. When I've requested first floor or near elevators for special needs (in-laws coming with bad knees and use wheelchair intermittently, etc.), have...

Changing ressie at 7 months...day by day??

I'm with DebbieB on this one. I'm a day by day guy when it comes to high season, GV booking, etc at 11 mos but the strategy totally changes at 7 mos. I've used the strategy she outlined and usually it has worked. If it doesn't, you still have a ressie and either way, you have no worries about...

I find that frequently studios go faster than 1 BRs.

    Vero Beach???

The highest dues are part of it but HH and Vero will ALWAYS be less expensive since it is off-site. To be guaranteed the type of accommodations that you want, it is becoming more and more important to book early (before the 7 month window). You caan only book your home resort at 7-11 months...

    Question for DVC experts

I agree with Deb & Bill's reponse. There are certainly pros and cons to buying resale or directly from Disney (I've done both). Remember that you need to look over the point charts especially for your Home Resort since that is likely where you will stay the most. I can't help you with the...

    ? on Spoodles

We don't love it. Fair for dinner. Agree that it's inconsistent. Better for breakfast. The pizza window is covenient for the kids (we frequent BWV). As stated, no dress code. Are you asking about breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Depending on what you want, you can usually find better options...
