    Homesick: Google Earth

I just installed Google Earth - Wow I got really homesick looking at VWL, and the rest of WDW. Stopped in at Vero Beach aswell - that brought back great memories, too. Very sad we don't have a trip out there booked :rotfl2: Have you installed it yet? http://earth.google.com/ Andy

    Virgin Hols - car insurance

Hi I used the AMEX travel insurance last time we went (2003) with a Virgin FlyDrive with no problem. The Dollar staff seemed "disappointed" that I just said "No" to all their offers of added insurances and expensive petrol refills. But they cannot force you. [It's best to be prepared though...

Tell me about the Villa's at Wilderness Lodge

Hi It's worth asking for top (5th floor) lake view when you make the reservation for VWL. The top floor has vaulted ceilings, so are much higher than the lower floors. if you look at an exterior picture you can see why this is. You can also (just) see the lake thru the trees. It's...

Question about 2 bedroomed BCV rooms

Hi Don't know about BCV, but we staying in a dedicated 2-bed at VWL which did have the vanity/sink area to one side and then a seperate toilet/shower and a large wardrobe/cupboard backing the outside wall where the studio door would be. (Does that make sense?) The 2-beds at both VWL and VB...

Your thoughts on the increase in dues

Hi all Yes - hopefully it is a one off. But remember we pay in GBP£ and the exchange rate has changed about 10% in since last January (from 1.4 to 1.55 ish today- around 10%) So if the increase for VWL is around 6%, the decrease in £'s due to the favourable move in the exchange rates will...

    Dlp & Dvc

Hi David Not when we were there in Feb this year. DLP is a seperate entity [not sure of the details] in the Disney corporate structure. Anyways, the DVC discount privileges don't extend to any of the Disney Stores, hotels, shope etc at DLP :-( Andy

Good news.... The full listings for Cruise Points and WDW Hotels for 2003 have now been put up on the members web site. I just worked out today that the staterooms that MS booked us into for our cruise in Jan are "Secret Porthole" ones....they didn't tell me at the time...that's looking...

    2003 Cruise Points

Hi Hilary The booking window is 11 months from sailing date. This is ONLY for DCL, it doesn't apply to II exchanges, which I think can be up to 2 years ahead [not very clear on that tho'] Can't wait for the cruise...I've heard so much about them, they sound fantastic...especially for the...

    2003 Cruise Points

FYI I spoke with MS on Friday (toll free ;-) ). They now have the 2003 DCL Points list, and can take firm bookings for 2003 Cruises with points. The bad news is that the point requirements have gone up, nearly 10%, so you need more points than you thought if you were planning a 2003...
