FORMAL Night on the Magic ..... so sad .....

I did mean the WONDER and not the MAGIC for Alaska. I am so glad to hear that most everyone agrees with me. Formal Night is just that......you don't need to wear a tuxedo but at least khakis and a nice shirt !! We are not so excited about doing Disney again. The service and food was *not...

FORMAL Night on the Magic ..... so sad .....

We were on the Alaska cruise last week. We are Gold Castaway Cay members and our whole family really looks forward to dressing up for dinner. My boys have tuxedos (they are reasonably priced on eBay). When we went to Formal Night dinner there were probably more people in BLUE JEANS than...

    Juneau & Skagway Questions

You can also get to the glacier by hiking. We did this a few weeks ago while we were in Juneau. Just keep in mind that you must be in GREAT physical shape as it is an *extreme* hike. We used Above and Beyond Alaska Tours. They picked us up at the boat (around 7 AM) and brought us back at...

Med cruisers - Bus from port?

There are TONS of taxis. The only problem with taking a taxi is that they are SMALL........They can only carry a max of FOUR people and no more than about 4 pieces of luggage. My family of FIVE took 2 taxis between the airport and port (both ways). It was about 32 EUROS one way for each one...

    RCCL 'vs DISNEY

There were not a lot of British seniors on board. I would say the majority of the population was actually from the USA. Of course, the average age of the population was a lot older than you would find at Disney. There were a lot of senior citizens. I wondered how some of them were able to...

    DCL versus Royal Caribbean?

We just did a 7 night Royal Caribbean after previosuly doing 4 Disney Cruises. I say...........DO DISNEY !!!!!!!!!!!! It is worth every penny of the extra that it costs. The only thing that we enjoyed on the Voyager of the Seas was the rock climbing wall. The inline skating was so small...

    RCCL 'vs DISNEY

I have read lots of data on this thread. Now it is my turn. My family has done FOUR Disney Cruises over the past 5 years (me, DH, DD-12, DS-14, DS-17). As the kids got older we thought "Gee, why don't we try RCCL. Maybe the kids are outgrowing Disney". To sum up the experience in two words...

Tickets for Vatican Museum and the museum in Florence (w/David)

We just got back from the Vatican Museum. We waited in line for almost TWO HOURS !! And it was very hot !! I was soaked with sweat by the time we got inside. And then it was wall to wall people all trying to get to the Sistine Chapel. I felt like a sardine. Enjoy your trip :dance3:

    Mr. Sanchos or Paradise Beach?

We went to Mr. Sanchos last year in May. It was GREAT !! I would highly recommend it. Beach access is free. Be sure and get one of those pineapple drinks. They will give you a whole hollowed out pineapple. It makes for a GREAT picture.
