    Minnie/Mickey's Houses Demolished???

I still can't believe that they would just demolish them. I've taken the same picture of my girls on Minnie's fireplace since our first trip in 2007, and I was so sad to find it gone in 2011. Little ones actually believe that Mickey and Minnie live there, and they were always one of...

    First Time Visit at Christmas!

I don't know if you have little kids, but when we went at Christmas time, we took a small tree to put in the window of our room, and my girls loved it. I "forgot" the ornaments, and one night we came home to a fully decorated tree with little presents under it. Without a word from us, they...

Late April trip good idea or not?

We have been to DW four times-Oct 2007, Feb 2009, Dec 2010 and Nov 2011. Now we are looking at being able to go between Jan 2013 and Aug 2013, so I'm wondering if late April is okay as far as crowds and weather go. With three girls who want to wear princess dresses constantly, we didn't like...

Visiting WDW in January - tell me the good, bad, and ugly!

We've been the first week in February, and I think it was great. The lines were shorter than many or our trips (October and early December). The only thing I would say is be prepared for worst case scenario weather wise. I looked at 10 day and averages on weather.com and took leggings and...

Anyone else feel like Disney is discouraging families of 5+ from staying on site?

AoA is supposed to be for larger families-yes. However, they are over $300 a night, which is just not possible for us. Not when we can stay off site for 1/3 of the cost. Never thought of doing the points thing at DVC. I'll check that out! Thanks!

Anyone else feel like Disney is discouraging families of 5+ from staying on site?

Actually most hotels charge a per night fee for an extra person in the room. I'd be happy to pay that. What I don't agree with is having no option for five people staying in the room when there is plenty of room for us. Instead we have to choose between paying DOUBLE for a value or even more...

Anyone else feel like Disney is discouraging families of 5+ from staying on site?

My family loves DW. We've been 4 times in the last 5 years, even though we can't necessarily afford it. We sacrifice in other areas because we love it so much and want to go as much as possible while our girls are small. But now that my youngest is old enough to need a ticket, we can't stay...

Anyone else get free photopass book in welcome packet?

My friend just got back from her first trip, and she had a free book in her welcome packet. I was excited because I was so going to use that, but my packet came today, and I didn't have one. :( Was this some special I missed?

Trying to keep the magic alive one more time

MOST of you are really making me feel better. :) It does make it more complicated having girls so close in age. It isn't fair for little one to have to grow up two years earlier just because her big sisters accidentally figure it out in front of her. Thanks for the great ideas on how to...

Trying to keep the magic alive one more time

Thanks! :) I will just keep my fingers crossed that they don't ask and try to avoid seeing the princesses up close more than once. I totally get that it will still be fun to see them even if they sort of know what's up because I still get excited myself-lol. I hate worrying about silly stuff...

Trying to keep the magic alive one more time

This is completely ridiculous I know, but we are about to go to DW for the fourth time in four years because we love it so much. My girls (5,7,7) are obsessed with all of the characters, and while I know the two older ones get that Mickey etc. are in costumes, I'm so scared that this is...

Cute way to tell my 3 girls that we are going to DW...

I have three girls, 6, 6 and 4, and we are going to DW in December. This will be our third trip, and I want to tell them we are going in a really fun way. My first graders are just learning to read, so I thought it would be neat to incorporate reading somehow. Would love ideas or things that...

Going to DW for the third time in December, and this will be our first during Christmas. :yay: I have three girls (6,6 and 4), and they LOVE DW and especially the princesses of course. My twins will be celebrating their 7th birthday, and we are going to BBB for that which will be a surprise...

Need Hints/Idea for holiday trip with 3 girls

First, I'm new to this board and so excited! Second, I'm going to DW for the third time in Dec.
