Ensuring a positive experience with bell services at CBR

Dansdad, that sound like a good plan for the last day. Are the showers inside indoor locker rooms, and how many showers are there? We have supplies for the shower. :-) Just wondering if they are private showers or more of a rinse off outside in front of everyone. I assume using the pool...

Ensuring a positive experience with bell services at CBR

By the way, tipping the $20 in fives is to ensure it can be split amongst the staff, if needed.

Ensuring a positive experience with bell services at CBR

Dansdad, thank you so much. Oh, I had no idea they could do the van thing with all of us too. That would be great. We plan to stay at the pool until about 2pm on our last day. Magic Express will probably pick us up shortly thereafter. Any recommendations on how to manage the last day since...

Ensuring a positive experience with bell services at CBR

Does anyone have recommendations for making incoming bell service (luggage, grocery delivery) a pleasant and timely experience? I have read from a variety of sources, including these boards, that the bell services at CBR are really hit and miss. This is our first trip to Disneyworld as a...

Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Thank you very much! We're checking in soon under a preferred reservation and I wanted to make sure I didn't need to request a refurb room specifically.

Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Have searched for this, but can't find a confirmation. Are the refurbishments complete for all of the CBR preferred rooms?

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

We arrived for the CCR line 1 hour and 15 minutes before the show (one show that night.) The line hadn't formed yet, but was about to. A few minutes later they called us to form the line and we were the 2nd group in. This allowed us to snag the nice viewing location right behind one of the...

    Crazy Question

You can totally do it. Our first year (kids were 6) we munched on homemade pumpkin bread and drinks in disposable cups on our morning walks from PP to the parks. There's always time to munch in line too. This year I made homemade breakfast cookies but we ate them in the room. We've also done...

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

I would call either Disney Dining or Carthay Circle directly and verify. Everything I saw/heard led me to believe that whether you had lunch or dinner you could choose which show you wanted to attend (unless they had distributed all their tickets for a particular show already.)

    Build A Bear Coupons

They have a fair amount of "boy" stuff and I'm pretty sure they have at least a couple Lightning McQueen shirts.

    Disney Rash

Whatever I had/have is not itchy. It's pretty much unpleasant to look at, and looks like it should be painful, but it's really not uncomfortable at all. One night I thought it stung just a bit. That was it.

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

Based on everything I've read about WOC, I would assume it's the same. Plus, isn't there only one show right now most nights? So it would have to be the same.

    Disneyland and the rain!

They closed Gadget's Go Coaster when the tracks got too wet, FYI. Not sure if other outdoor coasters would be affected. We had a couple days of rain in December 2011 and, honestly, we loved it! The place was a ghost town. We got on and off everything quickly. Locals will definitely stay...

    Build A Bear Coupons

Wanted to let you know that DLH had $5 off Build A Bear coupons in their kiosk with other tourist info. You can also give the DD BAB $5 coupons for every $25 spent and roll them all into one order.

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

No. You must eat lunch or dinner at Carthay Circle the day you want to attend WOC in order to secure FPs for that particular section. Children only need to order a kid's meal. Adults must order an entree plus either a dessert or appetizer (each.) We enjoyed Carthay Circle very much. I...

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

I would definitely plan a future trip for the same time of year. There are so many variables that can influence crowds. I seriously doubt the crowding was anywhere near what it's like in summer, but it was definitely more crowded than I was expecting based on crowd projections, being passed...

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

The girls and I carry waterproof fanny packs so a lot of the list is what to put in them every night. We bring in snacks and water bottles. Some limited medicines (for headaches and my daughter's Epi-Pen for food allergies.) Bandaids. Chapstick. Wet wipes. Sunglasses. A tiny sunscreen...

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

Yes, that was probably us! Did you have a good view too? We obviously pulled them out of school so there was some homework to do while we were there. :-) But mostly the reading was for pleasure and to pass the time. Thankfully our girls are avid readers.

3rd trip to DLR, 1st trip report

Personally, I think anyone could be happy with any of the three on site hotels. But yes, pros and cons for each. Here's my list, off the top of my head. Paradise Pier - Pros: The cheapest, while still gaining all of the advantages of being at a Disney hotel and being in the "Disney...
