    Best DVC Rooms?

I would recommend Saratoga Springs with a 4 1/2 year old who loves to swim. It's my home resort and is nice, CLEAN, and modernized. Plus, you should be able to request the Paddock (standard view room so less points). The Paddock has a great pool with a big slide and a splash pad area as well.

    Best Disney food Gift

My son's first grade teacher (he's in 5th now) always asks us to bring her one from our trips. And, of course, we have. Especially since she now has our daughter in kindergarten.

Crimson Tide Watch Party on NYE

Thanks. I thought someone had told me it was moved and when I looked it up the site said it was now in Downtown Disney. Now that I have gone back and looked again, that was for the location in Disneyland not Disney World. Still, it will be the best place to try and watch the game.

Crimson Tide Watch Party on NYE

I will not be there. I'll be watching from the comfort of my couch (War Eagle to you and yes I will be pulling for Bama - I'm in a mixed marriage and I don't want to sleep on the couch). But your best bet will be the ESPN zone in Disney Springs.

****Fairy Godmailer List Part II***** (AKA: FGM)

If you can't find someone going over or after Christmas, we're going the 12th-19th of December and I can drop them in the mail as we are leaving on the 19th. Just PM me.

****Fairy Godmailer List Part II***** (AKA: FGM)

We are going to WDW Dec 12-19 and are taking my son's best friend's family for their first trip. It would be awesome if someone would be able to mail 2 cards. The first for my kids (4yo DD & 9yo DS) with any character and the second for DS's friend (9yo girl) with Stitch (her fav) or any...

    ~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

We are booked 12/12-12/19 at Saratoga Springs. We're bringing our brood - me, my wife, mother-in-law (because we keep Meme happy), my son and daughter. We are also bringing my son's best friend and her parents (first trip for all three of them). 4 of the crew will be "celebrating" birthdays...

    Traveling in December?

Just my opinion, but my family loves the beginning of December. We're actually going the second week (12th-19th) this year and our kids will be 8 (turning 9 on 12/25) and 4. The absolute best week would be the 1st week of Dec. (basically the week after Thanksgiving), but that can be difficult...

    Planning our trip...5 questions

Welcome. I will speak from my own experience. My wife and I have two children as well, DS is 8 and DD is 3. We have been in Jan, Feb, Sept, Oct, and Dec. Question#1. Our favorite time of all is the 1st week of Dec. Cast members will tell you this is normally the least crowded week of the...

    Pre-park H&V and Jedi training

You should be good. We have done H&V for breakfast on several occasions as my kids (DS 8 and DD 3) LOVE the Disney Jr characters. I can't recall ever spending more than 45 minutes to eat and see all the characters. Plus, trying to do rope drop during Christmas week is an iffy proposition...

Tables in Wonderland - worth it for 2?

Let's work the math. If you take 1 trip a month for 13 months and on each trip you eat a TS meal. If the bill for 2 comes to $50 each time (low for WDW, but easy number to work with) and you generally tip 18% ($7.50 on $50 bill) then your total food cost for these meals would be $747.50...

    Ohana Breakfast

I'd plan for around 1- 1 1/2 hours. Normally on the shorter end, but we've had times when one character or another we almost get to us and they'd start up the parade through the restaraunt and we'd have to wait again. Also, it may take longer if your down during Thanksgiving week b/c they...

    Help me with Dining decisions.

For MK- Be Our Guest is the way to go. You will need to make sure you book your ADR at your eariest window as it fills up quickly. For HS - Only do Hollywood & Vine for b'fast and only if your girls LOVE the Disney Jr. characters (Jake, Sofia, Oso, Handy Manny(?)). Otherwise, I'd suggest...

Am I understanding Memory Maker correctly?

Having just returned recently and used MM, I'll share what I know. 1. Once you have purchased MM, everyone on YOUR reservation can just scan and go. 2. The other family will need to grab a photopass card from a cast member, which can be "attached" to their magic bands (you can do this...

    Memory Maker Length of Stay

You should not have to purchase a 1 day ticket to get memory maker. If you are staying on property, you should be able to log into my disney experience, link your resort reservation and your UCT tickets. Then purchase the memory maker and link it to the MDE account. That would save a great...

    Need Some Dining Suggestions

Here are some of favorites of the adults in our family (ages range from 33 - 58): Breakfast: Tusker House, Ohana, & Hollywood and Vine. All are character breakfasts. Ohana is family style (bring it to you) others are buffet. Standard (but good) breakfast fare with Ohana adding this...

Memory Maker - is it worth it?

We have even started paying the extra for the Memory Maker plus. My son is just getting to the age (height) that he can ride all the rides and we love getting the ride photos, he makes the best faces. Plus, we generally do at least one character meal and the plus lets us get those photos as...

    Tips/Tricks for 1st timers - bonuses/freebies

since you haven't been in a while, you may not be aware that Mickey will talk to you at his meet n greet in the MK. This is the only place that I am aware of him speaking with anyone, and my kids (DS 7 and DD 2) LOVED it. The meet n greet is in the theater on the right just as you enter MK...
