To concierge or not to concierge

We evaluate this each time we cruise, since I've found the cost of concierge vs. non-concierge can vary wildly. Obviously, it's always more expensive, but you have to determine if that extra expense is worth it to you and your family. For us, paying more for the one-bedroom suite and the extra...

    Hawaii 2020

We had just completed our 10th cruise last month, which I am now feeling really fortunate for, since it allowed us to book a room of our choosing yesterday for the 10 night Hawaii to Vancouver cruise. We love both the port and sea day aspects of cruising with Disney so this itinerary is a great...

WDW before or after cruise? Thoughts?

We prefer visiting the parks before cruising. Love, love, love WDW but it is tiring. We sometimes joke that we need a vacation after a vacation there, and by cruising after the parks, we give ourselves the perfect one!

Heading to HHI - Savannah, Charleston or both??

We are planning a trip to Charleston/HHI at the end of September, it will be our first time to South Carolina and we can't wait! From what I found out researching our trip, the historic district of Charleston doesn't allow Segways, but there is a company that does tours in Mount Pleasant...

    Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

Hi Jenene! We have been on Carnival and Holland America, I think that's it. We have not done those cruises together as a family, but our individual reports never hold up to our Disney experiences so that's what we do together, although it's been a while! I am really interested to see if our...

    Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

Just Booked! My father, sister, and I are ready to go! We are all adults, and have been on other cruise lines, but Disney is still our favorite. Sorry to miss the FE excitement, but we are so thrilled to be taking another cruise and our first on the Dream! Most looking forward to Remy...

DREAM VGT OGT how far out?

Hi Jill, Just VGT (no OGT that I saw) were available last week for the March 4th sailing, so that's about 45 days out. Wasn't looking prior to that though, so not sure when they first became available. We just booked one yesterday- have never tried VGT before so excited to see where we end up!

    Nassau Excursions

We did the city and garden tour when we we went last December, and we all (my step-father, mom, myself age 27, and two sisters ages 24 & 14) enjoyed it. We booked the excursion on board the ship, so all of the transportation and everything was included. We drove around Nassau on a tour bus and...

Please share Christmas holiday cruise experiences

We were on the 4 day cruise that left the 26th, having spent the 23-26th at Disney World. We had a fantastic time. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes in line for any rides and the cruise was wonderful, plus the ship was beautiful with the Christmas decorations. Here is a link to my pictures...

Best shows at the theme parks

My vote is for the Finding Nemo musical at the Animal Kingdom and the Little Mermaid show at MGM. I'm 27 and was thoroughly entertained by both.

Anyone back recently? How was everything?

We returned the 30th from a three-day visit to Disney and a four-day Disneycruise, and we had so much fun! It was our first Christmas trip, and we had no problems with long lines, thanks to taking advantage of the extra magic hours at MK the day before Christmas, and also probably due to the...

Crowds and Temp in Late Aug. Early Sept.??

My father and I also went the last week of August/first week of September 2005, we did visit the Typhoon Lagoon waterpark one day, definately crowded but none of the waits were bad, as all the lines seemed to moved quickly, probably the longest we waited was 20 minutes, I was cold in the snorkel...

    Swan-POR how to meet up?

My parents do not have a cell phone, but both my sister and I do, so we'll give them one of ours, that's a great idea! We can direct them if they get lost, and then we don't have to get up as early! :) Thank you!

best weather - Nov. or Jan.?

We went at the beginning of January, 2003. It was in the mid 70's in Cozumel and sunny- the water was fine, but it was cool when you got out with the breeze blowing, it was in the low 70's at Castaway Cay and my sister and I (both in our 20's) were fine in the water, but cold when we got out-...

    Swan-POR how to meet up?

Hello! We are staying at POR Dec 23-26 and are really excited, since we've heard great things about the resort, BUT.. it's a family reunion trip and some of our party is at the Swan, while the rest is at POR. I am a little concerned with how my sister and I should go about meeting up with our...

Limit to number of brunch reservations?

Thank you! I called Disney and at first they said they didn't have a brunch on the 4 night, but then I explained that I had read they DID have it on their website, and she checked and sure enough they do, so don't give up if they tell you it doesn't exist! She directed me to the groups...
