I agree with the others - the Kidani pool area and splash park are wonderful for little ones, although my then 3.5 year old loved the Jambo pool and slide on our last trip. My younger daughter was still toddling around on that trip and liked the zero entry pool at Jambo.

I did a split stay a few years ago when we added an extra day to our trip. We moved from BC villas to AKL for a night. It worked well because we just used that last day and a half to visit AK and explore the AK resort and pool.

I don't have any suggestions, as I've only visited with my small family. I am going to follow this thread because we have a large group trip coming up and have been wondering where we should eat with a similarly diverse group.

We usually go with Keens. They hold up well and dry pretty quickly after water play. My daughter with wider feet seems to find them more comfortable than any other sandals we have tried.
