Applying OBB placeholder to an actual cruise

When we booked our placeholder the first question they asked was did we want to use our TA again. I said yes and it was automatically set up for her. Whe I got back I had a CC of an e-mail from Disney to her with the OBB res#

We were on the Fantasy in early December and the rotation was AERAERA, removing the Enchanted Garden back to back

What is a good pick up time for a car at disembarkation? And which service?

We cruised the Fantasy December 5 - 12 out of Port Canaveral. 7:15 was the walk off time if you took your own luggage which we did. We were through customs and on the curb in our shuttle at 7:30. If you can pack light to carry your own it will save time in the morning.

    Guarantee Status vs. IGT/OGT/VGT

I had a 05EGTY for the Fantasy for December 5, 2015 sailing. My record updated in the past couple of days (saw it this morning) and I did get a 05E.

    Motorhome cost and comparisons.

Sales Stats: The 2011 sales stats are in - at least 11 months worth of them. These stats are based on the diesel pushers sold to end customers (not dealers) between January and November 2011. Tiffin has a huge lead with 1,518 units sold. Fleetwood (includes American Coach) is second at...

    Motorhome cost and comparisons.

Sorry, but no, Bob Tiffin who started the company turned it over to his sons 8 - 10 years ago but they started to run the company into the ground. Bob stepped back in and turned it back around - then the economy tanked. They were down to building 3 - 4 motorhomes a week, but they kept...

    Motorhome cost and comparisons.

We have been looking at Tiffin's for several years, but can't pull the trigger on anything until we get closer to retirement. Tiffin is a family owned business based in Red Bay, AL. Like any company they have good and bad points including several manufacturing issues specific to certain year...

    Lots of questions!

Unless it has been removed by someone, the bunk ends come with a privacy curtain. I have never seen a privacy curtain around the dinette bed.

    Lots of questions!

MOst rent - drive RV's have an extra charge after a minimum number of miles, likk 100 miles a day. Watch this as it is the killer for pricing. No bedrooms in a pop up. A bed at each end and the dinette usually turns into a third bed. Towing depends on the car and size of pop up. I have a pop...

Can't guarantee a pet site even with a reservation?

Well for the 1600 loop all I can say is that you reserved a full hook up site. The only full hook up sites are the 1600 - 1900 loops, all of which are pet loops. Now, for those folks who don;t have pets and end up in pet loops... all I can say is I think Disney's site reservation and site...

    Lots of questions!

Yes, there are several companies that rent all sizes of RVs to use at FW. The details are what you need to look at. Some rental companies rent you the RV at a low price, then make their profit on mileage fees for how far you drive or renting "comfort packages" including basic items like sheets...

Can't guarantee a pet site even with a reservation?

Thanks, it was starting to need it!:thumbsup2 There are a few issues on message boards that seem to cause emotions to rise, and it seems pets is one of those on this board. You have folks like me who would not leave home without a pet (OK, I'm leaving myself open for folks to say don't leave...

Tell me about WDW with your dog(s)

YOu are correct, it is impossible. Book a pet loop (yes, all full sites are pet sites) and make sure it is in the comments of your reservation. The pet issue is really not a big problem. Ask for a pet site in your reservation, pay the extra pet fee when you arrive and life will be good.

Can't guarantee a pet site even with a reservation?

I guess this will just have to be another example of you an I disagreeing on an issue. It has been reported too many times that FW is placing folks with pets in non-pet loops. The only times I have ever heard of someone either being asked to leave or board their pets is when the pet is...

Can't guarantee a pet site even with a reservation?

I do not believe this is a true statement. Even if FW receives a complaint about a pet in a non pet loop, as long as it was on the reservation and the pet fee was paid FW will NOT make you move or board. They "overflow" pets into non pet loops all the time.

Can't guarantee a pet site even with a reservation?

I don't think I would ever go without a reservation. You may try it, but have a plan B in your back pocket.

Can't guarantee a pet site even with a reservation?

Don't worry about it. In all the years I have been going I have never heard a story of someone turned away or made to kennel pets. They always reserve the right to change a non pet loop into a pet loop, so that is what they do. If there are none when you check in, a non pet loop will get your...

    Any hope of getting reservation?

OK, this is just my opinion, but..... don't be in a rush to cancel. If your life is anything like mine, things can change. Only after your are SURE nothing will change should you think about cancelling. Now, when you do cancel I believe in doing it in two steps. Call once and shorten the...
