    Split Stay—Changing Hotels

We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort. We liked it. The room was big enough, clean and nice. We spent most of the day in the parks, so we were only in the room a bit before dinner, and then when we turned in for the night. I thought it was a good value for what it was (especially compared with...

    Split Stay—Changing Hotels

have2getaway, we did not think it was too much of a hassle. We actually did this on two separate vacations, and I know if it had gone poorly the first time I would not have had us do it on another trip. We did enjoy being able to stay onsite at Universal and take advantage of the express passes...

    Split Stay—Changing Hotels

have2getaway, we have actually done what you are asking about on two separate trips. Now, the last time we did it was six years ago so maybe it has changed. But, all we did was check out of the POFQ, take our luggage to bell services, ask them to send our luggage to the Contemporary, then headed...

Okay, which one of you did this?

I can confirm Duffy on Zuzu's bed, but the only copy I own is the "George Lucus Digitally Enhanced, Colorized, and Remastered" version. The sound effects are a little much, but that extended scene when Duffy gets Teddy Ruxpin, the Snuggle bear, all the Care bears, and Ted to help George out of...

Okay, which one of you did this?

Well, I've heard it said, "Every time a Duffy sings, a Llama gets their wings!" Wait......... I may have gotten that a bit wrong..... Let me find my copy of "It's a Wonderful Life" and I'll get back to you. ..........I swear a saw a Duffy on Zuzu's bed though. Man, those things are...

    Suggestions for Best and Worst

Thanks FCDub, I guess we can cross that off the list. The sad thing is once I clicked on the link, I now can remember watching it last year. I guess that's Father time reminding me I'm getting a little older......... I'm still not listening to him though!

Split Stay — Value to Deluxe. Will this work?

To be sure, I would call and ask. But we have done this on two separate trips, and never had a problem taking Magical Express back to MCO. Coming in we just give them our arrival flight info., and not our departing info so they don't get confused. Then when making the second res. you give them...

Split Stay — Value to Deluxe. Will this work?

We have done US in the middle of a Contemporary stay. We just made 2 separate res. The day of US we checked out of the Contemp. but had bell services hold onto our luggage so we didn't have that hassle. We just each took a backpack filled with what we would need for one night, drove over to US...

I just realize i've been on the disboards for 10 years! Anyone is in/or about to hit double digits?

Almost 15 years for me. Love the podcasts and reading threads. They have been very helpful for planning our trips over the years. When I joined my oldest daughter was still crawling, now she's taking driving lessons!! :drive::scared:

Any Husbands here do all the planning?

Count me in as another DH that does all the planning and makes all the ADR's and figures out all the FP+ stuff. I make sure to run everything by the family and get their input on what they want before finalizing anything, but all the organizing and work comes from me, (which is fine, since I...

Car rental from SFO to DisneyLand

middlesista, we actually did something similar to this a couple of years ago. We rented a car from Alamo at SFO and drove it down to Disneyland. There is an Alamo on Disney property where we dropped it off. At the end of our trip, we just took a cab to LAX. Worked out OK for us. The only minor...

Planning trip in July vs August

It will be busy but manageable at either time. We've gone at both times in the past. I would say end of July is busier. By the third and fourth week of Aug. the tour groups are not as prevalent and quite a few schools down south start up about this time. We have had vacations that started at the...

Casey's Corner vs The Plaza Restauraunt

The Plaza is actually table service, so Casey's would be the quicker choice. We enjoy both and yes, the desserts at the Plaza are very good, but if you are in a hurry, they have ice cream right next door to the Plaza, (which is right across the street from Casey's).

    Something positive

We noticed a positive turn in line etiquette last year. In the past, we encountered groups cutting ahead, looking for the rest of their party or a couple of people waving to the rest to catch up to them. This last year we noticed more often than not, if groups or families were split up, the...
