Just signed up for the 2017 WBPC (our 17th DCL cruise). Looking forward to seeing the Canal and enjoying lots of sea days.

We actually prefer the sea days. There are lots of things to do on the ship, and the sea days gives you a chance to explore without feeling rushed to get off and see a port.

I admire your dedication. I take a ton of pictures, keep them in albums, but haven't put together trip reports yet.

Don't go out alone at night (it's more fun in a group anyway), and keep everything safe - but the street performers and night life on Las Ramblas are amazing.

We are leaving Toronto Aug 28th (arriving in Paris Aug 29th). Plan to stay in Paris 7-8 days, then down to Barcelona for 1-2days before catching the ship! :-)

We cruised a couple of years ago with a single mother and 2 young children. The children received more attention than anyone - from cutting their meals, helping feed them, and entertaining them so mom could enjoy her meal. Tipping was a bargain for her!

We have been on few longer cruises with lots of sea days - usually found them the best - lots of activities, but not running around a port/excursion.

Our 13h DCL cruise, but definitely one of the best. Loved everything, but surprised we enjoyed Turkey and Malta as much as we did! :-3

Including time before or after is definitely the way to go. We spent time in Barcelona this summer before the Med cruise, and will likely spend a week in Europe before the WBTA. San Juan is great (was there in January), but need to get kids back to school without missing too much time.
