Japan in the wake of Corona Virus?

This is very weird. I've been going to TDR for the last 6 years that we've lived here in Tokyo and I've never once shown any ID for my kids to prove their ages.

    Trip Cancellation :-(

Honestly, that's probably the best option. I live here in Tokyo and events are getting cancelled and venues closing left and right all of the sudden. I expect it will get worse over the next couple of months before it gets better. Luckily if you wait a year or so, you may be able to enjoy all...

    Tokyo sea really that great?

Honestly, it really is. As a devoted WDW fan, it took me a while to open my eyes to how amazing DIsneySea is. I loved the comfort and familiarity of WDW and even DL, DisneySea is so different. But in true Disney fashion, it has amazing Disney touches but completely unique. I highly recommend...

Report on my whirlwind Starlight Passport experience

This upcoming weekend will still have relatively high crowds since we're getting closer to Halloween. But if you're just looking to enjoy the park and can get there early for some FPs, it won't be a total waste.

Report on my whirlwind Starlight Passport experience

How disappointing! Weather yesterday was yucky, which usually means better crowd levels, but since it was a holiday... :( Depending on when you may be able to do another half day, it may be worth it.

Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong-- which park on the weekend?

Your best bet is definitely Hong Kong on a weekend. Tokyo and Shanghai are way more crowded.

Please Explain the Hotel/Resort Scene For Tokyo DL and DS!

All of what indoshakeseare said. Whether it's worth it to get the extra 15 minutes all depends on the crowd levels. On the low crowd days, it's not that important. But any days more than low crowds, it could make a big difference. This is the calendar I use and it's been pretty accurate (google...

    Advanced planning (2021)

I currently live overseas in Japan (yay TDR!). I've been here for several years and we haven't been to WDW since 2013 right before I moved. It was always our favorite trip, taking a couple weeks at our favorite resort, Riverside. We are planning to move back stateside in June of 2021. I'd like...

What to pack into a half day at Tokyo Disney Sea or Tokyo Disney Land?

Hi there! I live here in Japan at visit the parks a few times a year (not as much as I'd like). I'll take a stab at some answers. Q1 - I believe there are lockers at the park but I'm not sure of the size of them, if they'd fit a suitcase. The Maihama train station might have big lockers since...

1 day only: Disneyland or Disney Sea?

As someone who has been to both many times (I live in Tokyo), if you only have one park to pick, definitely go with DisneySea. I always love Disneyland, but DisneySea is so unique, you don’t want to miss it.

Dropping by TDL Hotel... any hints on what to see?

The lobby is filled with beautiful Disney details. A meal at Sherwood Garden restaurant is nice too. I stayed at the hotel a few months ago and those were the things that stood out the most to me (besides the room itself).

    Jim Shore Disney figurines

I've bought all mine either in the parks or at Hallmark. My husband just got me a few for mother's day from Amazon. I have no idea how much he paid for those..:scared:

    Pop vs. POR?

I've stayed at both and feel it's worth paying a little extra to stay at POR. We love POR, it's much quieter and a peaceful break from the parks, unlike POP which is noisy and active. POR has several bus stops, but we never really waited too long for the buses. Plus POR has the boat to DTD...

New blog on Tokyo Disney Resort

Love the blog. I recently moved to Japan and went to TDS this weekend. We just winged it since we'll be coming back again. But if it had been our only trip all your tips would have helped immensely. Wait times were crazy (160 minutes for ToT). But that's ok, the kids aren't much for the thrill...
