Dxl DP, 10 days, 30 credits, Help - Are we missing any must-try's?!

Thank you for your replies. We are staying for 10 nights and only have 2 or 3 days (out of the 10) with 3 bookings on the one day. The restaurants listed are just the ones I currently have bookings at. Most days there is only an early character meal with a late lunch or early dinner...

Dxl DP, 10 days, 30 credits, Help - Are we missing any must-try's?!

We have never been to Disneyworld and this is also my children's first trip to the States (ages 7, 6 and almost 3). We are coming to DW for 10 nights, (another 5 nights at other parks) and staying at the Contemporary Resort and had to bump our free dining to deluxe due to all the bookings I was...

    Do reservations suddenly "appear"?

They appear ALL the time. If you dedicate a couple of hours one day you will be surprised what pops up. We only booked our trip a month ago and we are leaving in a few weeks. I have been able to get every single restaurant we've wanted to try - incl the very hard ones like - Ohana dinner...

    DxDp Questions

Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying that - I did know they came with carrots etc. I thought it was an additional app. My problem lies in that the restaurant bookings I've made require 19 credits each person . We get 10 on the DP. We either have to cancel some or pay out of pocket...

    DxDp Questions

Wow, I didn't realise the children get appetisers too! It just seems like a crazy amount of food . Thanks for answering that though :). It seems funny that we will most definitely have credits left over at the end and not have been able to at least used some of the leftover...

    DxDp Questions

If I could just add a question here instead of starting my own thread. We are currently considering an upgrade to the DxDp from the DDP after all our reservations are in - lots of character meals and a few signatures. We are there for 10 nights. We have a 7, 6 and 2 year old (though almost 3)...

Can there really be no availability!??

Don't be disheartened. We just booked a trip one month ago to take a big holiday overseas in December. I have never even played around on the reservations website before and was really shocked to learn people do this 180 days in advance! I literally just got Ohana's about half an hour ago...

Shuttergirl taking on the US hehe - NOW WITH some PHOTOS See Post 1 for links

Oh what a fantastic live trip report! I'm glad you rode the subway. DH and I are not public transport people here in Melbourne (too spaced out and unreliable) but we got the hang of the subway within a day and travelling all over NY on it. It is an amazing and very organised system! Our...

    Your Favourite Airline to USA

I went last Nov and this Aug with Qantas. I have no complaints with them. They tend to be a little more expensive in their sale flights but I find when things go wrong, they are very flexible and will do everything to make you happy. The trick to Qantas before you fly is not to make any...

Hints and tips on what to buy in the US and what to buy here

Make-up is cheap everywhere - Bloomingdales, Macy's etc and the standalone Mac stores. Promotions can vary throughout the stores though but their full price is super cheap anyway. The outlets are well worth it for clothes.

Hints and tips on what to buy in the US and what to buy here

Just from a quick google and it will work but it's not ideal. :-/ I too would love to bring one back the next time but it looks like you need to use a transformer and it will work but it's not recommended by KitchenAid. Q: Will the US-model KitchenAid mixer work in Europe? A: Yes, they...

Yes unfortunately the Kitchenaid's weigh a ton to bring back and their voltage is different. Worth investigating further if you have the luggage allowance.

    Restaurant recommendations in New York

I can vouch for that 53rd and 6th halal cart, just make sure they are the right one! You can tell which ones they are by the size of the line! But it moves quickly. Best value for money in NY, DH loved this. I think they start after 7:30/8 but they wear bright tops promoting themselves so you...

    Iphones and international roaming

I checked into this too - I just wish I followed through with it once I arrived! Do not under any means send MMS back home through your current provider! Stupid me did not realise that they are charged at ridiculous roaming rates  . I don't know if you have found a solution to...

    IPad in the US

It is a month-by-month contract and there are mixed reports with at&t declining some international credit cards. There are ways around it all though -by purchasing a Visa gift card. I've just checked my link and it says you just go to a AT&T store over there, buy a microsim over the...
