What's on int the movie theatre?

Anyone know? We're going on the May 5 cruise and are also interested.

HELP! Flying out on the day we ship out

Hi Myworldisjam: We're in exactly the same "boat" (if you'll pardon the pun). We've always flown in a day ahead; but for our May 5 Med cruise, that's just not possible. So, we're due to land in Barcelona at 8:55 a.m. the day of the cruise. That should leave us a cushion for delays...

    Barcelona Hotels

We're at the Renaissance Airport for post cruise, too. (Taking our chances flying in same day pre-cruise) We've booked airport transfers, so we figure we'll let Disney get us to the airport and then use the hotel's airport shuttle to get us there and back the next day for our flights.

Surpise Trip for my Wife (she uses DisBoards)

Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. A couple of years ago, I did the same thing for my husband for our 20th anniversary. I managed to keep it a secret right until the night before by suggesting we take a weekend break together. He helped pack the bags (which I snuck "Disney extras" into...

Comparing water excursions in Nassau and CC

Hi! I can't comment about the sting rays, but I have done the snorkelling excursion in Nassau and snorkelled on Castaway Cay. There's no comparison. The snorkelling in Nassau was such a super experience my whole family ended up getting scuba certified when we returned home...

Shore Excursion Suggestions on 7-day West

Hi! We've done this cruise a couple of times and weren't too keen on the one where we just walked around and shopped in Cozumel. We'd definitely do the Tulum excursion again, though. That was quite an experience - fascinating! Grand Cayman is a much better place to shop, we found. The...

    AP room rates

Hi BCS Mom: AP rates vary by level of hotel (e.g. deluxe hotels usually have larger discounts than moderates, etc.). They are NOT GUARANTEED, though. Sometimes they're offered - sometimes they're not. There are also some new restrictions on them. For instance, you have to book your room...

    NetZero at Port Orleans Riverside

Hi SueM: Just to make sure we're comparing apples to apples, dial-up access isn't actually free. Disney doesn't offer dial-up service itself, they just allow you to use their phone lines to do it. We still had to pay NetZero $14 for a month of their Platinum service (I think you can get...

    NetZero at Port Orleans Riverside

Hi Michellex2: Thanks so much for that update! I haven't looked into this since the summer, when we were planning our last trip. This is great news for our next trip in July, when we'll be on both the Disney Cruise and in one of the hotels for a week! The note about the Disney Cruise...

    NetZero at Port Orleans Riverside

Hi Got Quattro: We don't normally use dial-up; but, as of last summer anyway, POR didn't have high speed connections in the rooms. So, it was either find a dial-up solution or don't connect. That wasn't an option with our business, so we picked up NetZero while we were away. I'm waiting...

    NetZero at Port Orleans Riverside

Hi Mimi Q: When we were at POR in the summer, the following NetZero number worked as a local for us: (407) 571-1239. This is a Winter Park, FL, number. If that one doesn't work, the following two are supposed to be locals also, although I can't guarantee these from personal experience...

    What's beside Stateroom 7567?

For anyone who's on the cruise at the moment or who's had this stateroom before, we're curious to know what's beside it. We have just been booked into that stateroom and the deck plans don't show what's there. We're a bit worried it might be neighbours with the laundry room (YUCK!)...

Internet dial up from WDW-POP century

We tried Netzero on our last trip and were thrilled with the results. It feels almost as quick as cable modem and was good and cheap. They have local numbers that work from the resorts. We're going back on Monday, and we'll definitely be using Netzero again. Cheers, Pirate.

    Best SCUBA Diving?

Hi all: We're deciding between the Eastern and Western cruises. We've done them both and enjoyed them both; but, on the next one, the whole family will be open water certified. So, our question is, which cruise is best for SCUBA diving excursions and why? Which are the best locations...

    Snuba anyone???

Hi! We did SNUBA in St. Thomas when we went on the Disney cruise in 2001. It was EXCELLENT! Our DS was 10 years old then and was able to come with us for the adventure. We had to arrange for the excursion ourselves, as it wasn't a Disney excursion then (don't know if it is now or not)...

    Salsa Dance Lessons onboard...

We took the salsa lessons on our last cruise. I enjoy dancing, but DH was just being a trooper and humouring me. :) He found it a little too quick from the "absolute beginner" to the "let's trade partners and put it all together" stage; but, if you're already good dancers, you'll probably...

What Disney delight are YOU craving?

Pineapple float from Aloha Isle, MK The shrimp from Ohana Meatloaf and mashed potatoes from 50s Prime Time, MGM Goofy's Rock Candy (we always buy extra to take home with us - Pina Colada is the best flavour) ...But since it's been cold and rainy and miserable for so long here, we'd gladly...

Tell me what I'll LOVE at Boma?

Hi Jeminni: If you're going by Disney bus, to get to Boma from another resort you'd have to take the bus first to a park and then catch the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus from there. We're going back to Boma in July. I agree with others - we don't love everything on the menu, but there's enough...

    caribbean beach, opinions please!

We've stayed at PORS many times and absolutely LOVE it! It's our home away from home! Caribbean Beach, on the other hand - we didn't enjoy at all! We found it very spread out (a long hike to the main building) and also didn't like the fact that the "food court" building and the "front desk"...
