    What are watermice????

Water mice are quick little water craft that scoot all over the lagoon that borders the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, the Magic Kingdom, etc. My son and husband rented the mice at the marina of the Grand Floridian.

    Need Mara at AKL Reviews.

You're right, Musicfan, that all the food courts offer overpriced and unimpressive food. I didn't mean to single out Mara.

    Need Mara at AKL Reviews.

Sorry, but we didn't care for Mara. After an overpriced, unimpressive breakfast there, we restricted ourselves to simply refilling our coffee mugs at Mara and ventured elsewhere for meals.

Help....I'm having soooo much trouble picking an Epcot WS restaurant.

Dear jennymouse, The cuisines of Restaurant Marrakesh and Boma and Jiko are very different, as are their atmospheres. I enjoyed all of these restaurants and recommend them unreservedly. BTW, if this is your first experience at AKL, you're in for a real treat! Have a great trip! Jacqui

Concierge Service at the Grand Floridian: Another Viewpoint

Dear jgates, Sugar Loaf is the building right next to the main building at the Grand Floridian. Only recently has it added concierge service. From what I understand, there are a few minor differences in the level of service. For instance, there is no alcohol included in the beverages at...

Concierge Service at the Grand Floridian: Another Viewpoint

Blanche, if our room had a motion sensor attached to the air conditioner, we were unaware of it. Our room remained a comfortable 72 or 73 degrees throughout our stay, night and day, which is exactly where we set the thermostat.

Help....I'm having soooo much trouble picking an Epcot WS restaurant.

The cuisine of Restaurant Marrakesh ihas an exotic feel without being so far outside the experience of the typical American palate that most diners willl not appreciate the flavors. I had a delightful chicken dish that was made just a touch unusual by the addition of preserved lemons, an...

    Victoria and Albert

We just returned from Disney on Saturday, and we're still recovering from our weeklong dietary splurges! I think my husband in particular is going to need a new expanded wardrobe after a week of over-indulgence! Our first night in the parks we decided to relive a dining experience from 13...

    Contemporary/fireworks dinner?

We just had dinner at the California Grille last week, after which we viewed the fireworks. The dinner itself was very enjoyable, albeit expensive. If the only reason you are making reservations at CG is to see the fireworks, there are other viewing spots that are equally good. In fact, we...

Just back last night from AKL. Any ??

We spent 6 days at the Animal Kingdom Lodge last August. You're right about the long walk to the buses. Sometimes the hike back to our room from the busstop after a long day in the parks seemed daunting! The AKL complex is immense! We didn't have any trouble with housekeeping as some of...
