We were at the Grande Vista two weeks ago. The resort was very nice. There is a lot of construction (buildings being added) and maintenance going on. You should ask ahead to be away from the construction area. The new buildings are going in near the lake.

I was just offered a timeshare deal at the Crowne Plaza. Has anyone ever stayed? Was the timeshare presentation high pressure? Any info about the resort would be appreciated. TIA

I just called the hotel directly and had the rate adjusted on my existing reservation. Ask for code WT3 which gets you the family values package for $109/nt.

tbk1998 , I will be staying at the HIFS from 11/2-11/9 also. We are from NJ and that is teachers convention week. Are you from NJ too? I've heard Orlando is full of people from NJ that week (though not crowded).
