East Meets West - A Wonderful Journey

I just had a chance to catch up on your report. Costa Rica looks amazing, so much more interesting than the usual Caribbean or Mexican ports on a cruise. I can't belive those racoons. we have lots of them here in New Jersey, but they are nocturnal and would never come near a person. The...

Your experience with Private Transfers in Barcelona?

I do not recommend A2B Transfers. We booked them to take us to the airport after our Med cruise in September. We pre-paid, and when we got off the boat they were not there. Apparently they only wait half hour, even though we pre-paid and they never told us they would not wait. Anyway, we had...

    100 disney cruises !!!

I seriously would like to know how a person does go on 100 cruises in 12 years. Are they retired? do they live in Canaveral and go on 3 day cruises? I could never do that for both monetary and time reasons, so however they do it, they are lucky!!

    Mediterranean Cruise- Special Theme Nights

We dressed up for the formal night because we enjoy doing it, but there was an array of clothing worn. The other nights my daughters and I wore sundresses or skirts and my husband wore khakis with a polo. Some of the nights, after we were on all day excursions, we only had time to run to our...

A Trip of Many Firsts (very detailed, Med Cruise)UPDATED 3/8

We took the train to Pisa and we all thought it was snow we could see on the mountains. It wasn't until we got home and did some additional reading about the area that we discovered it was marble. I think that is so cool. Thanks for continuing the report I am looking forward to reading about...

    Bathroom breaks on Med excursions

We were on the "Tale of Two Cities" tour in Malta, a 4 hour tour. The guide only gave us a bathroom break mid-way because we asked for it and then she seemed a little put out, as she wanted to stay on schedule. There were only 2 stalls in the place we stopped so it took a long time for...

Ahem - CORRECTION - looking for names of ROMEINLIMO drivers in Rome & Naples

We had Tony in Naples. He was so nice and I would 100% recommend him and use him again if we are back in the area. He was a very informative guide and completely accomodated all of our wishes. He was also a pleasure to talk to and get to know over the course of the day. He even played...

Thinking of cruising NCL next year...anyone have any compararisons?

NCL was always trying to sell you a lot of extras like drinks and the specialty restaurants. I found this annoying. I do buy drinks and spend a lot of extra money on DCL, but it seems like DCL just shows you a great time and the extra spending just flows. NCL is always in your face with it...

    oh man!!!!

We were on deck 5 pretty far forward so few people saw our door, but we still had fun with creating the magnets and decorating each day, even if it was just for us and our room steward.

    Philadelphia

We were just in Philly 2 weeks ago and we had ice cream sundaes at an old fashioned ice cream parlor called Franklin Fountain on Market Street. We also had great cheesesteaks at a place on Market Street called Sonnys and great pork sandwiches at Tony Luke's. I can't wait to go back the food...

Travel Alert on DCL website regarding Tunis!!

I think this is great. We went to Tunis last summer and it was "ok" not fantastic. Everywhere we stopped in Italy was much better, so I bet Palermo will be better as well! It's also great they are letting you know so soon so you can plan for it. Have fun!! Karyn
