    Cape may breakfast

We are staying off property and hope to get a reservation for breakfast at cape may. Do we park at the beach club for breakfast; do we give the guard our reservation number? We may not go to a park after we eat this may be our "off" day. Thanks

Week and a half before Easter

My husband and I are wanting to surprise the children with a trip March 20-24. Our daughter's birthday is the 21st and I have always wanted to go to the Flower and Garden Festival. Easter is the 31st, (a week after we leave), how crowded do you think it will be? Thanks in advance.

November 2012- F&W, MVMCP & Smelling the Roses

We have a Honda mini van and it fit perfectly in the back with one set of seats down, I'm not sure how well it would fit in a car :confused3. The storage basket was great for holding camera bags, etc.

    Going in the summer help

We went the week of June 17 last year, and found the crowds to be manageable. We are from NC, so the heat and humidity didn’t bother us too bad. The worse day, for us, was Epcot in WS. There aren’t a lot of trees and the sun was bearing down on us, we left earlier than expected. From our...

    Bobbles and FL H2O?

We bought the Brita waterbottles for our trip in June and used them daily. Although, they didn't take all the sulfur taste out of the water, it did make the water more drinkable. We would get the free cups of water and pour those with the ice into the bottles, that made the water even better. I...

November 2012- F&W, MVMCP & Smelling the Roses

We rented from Apple Scooter in December for my MIL. It was great!! The scooter was waiting at the resort for us when we arrived. The first scooter didn't work correctly, the resort called let them know that we would be on our way, we got to their store and they upgraded us with no questions...

DRIVING!!! Cool Stops for the kids?

We are also from NC, we have driven each time we have gone to the world. I can't think of any "cool" stops, we have our "planned" stops along the way. Get gas in Brunswick, GA (on 95) I think its exit 38, usually the gas is cheapest there. We always stop at the gas station that has a Subway...

    How hot is Mid-June? Crowds?

We visited in June last year. It was hot but very bearable; we are from NC so we get hot/humid summers. My advice is to drink plenty of water, get to the parks when they open, take a break mid day, and go back later that evening. The crowds were not bad, since you’ve been there before; you know...

    Please, please help me decide!

We went the 3rd week of June this past summer, and are wanting to plan another trip for the same time. Yes, its hot, but drink water, get to the parks early, and enjoy shade when you can find it, and take breaks. Its really not that bad. My boss went over Easter/Spring Break one year, he...

DVC or deluxe resort for our visit?

With 3 young children, I would stay at a DVC resort in a one bedroom. You will love the extra room, kitchen, washer/dryer, and separate area for the kids to sleep. I know my two children (9 and 5) drive us crazy when we only stay in a room, they need space to spread out. It depends on your...

    Just back, a few thoughts

We just returned from our trip and I wanted to share a few thoughts. I have always wanted to do a trip report , but with all the activities surrounding Christmas, not sure I will have time. We were there December 3 – 10th. Park days were Sunday- Friday, with a break on Tuesday. Resort – We...

Midday break or plow on through?

We went this past June with a 4, 5, 8, 8, 8, and 11 year olds. We took breaks everyday, believe me, you will need them. We stayed off property, the drive back to the house was not bad at all. We made the kids rest, even if they didn't nap, just getting in the a/c and chilling for a while made...

    What would you do?

We stayed at OKW last November and LOVED the resort. Our kids ages 8 and 4 didn't want to go to the parks, they wanted to swim and hang out in the community room. As another poster stated, it was wonderful parking right outside your door when you came in from the park. As far as worrying...

~A big HIGH 5 for Sheraton Vistana Resort~

What is the travel time to the parks at WDW? We have a trip planned in December, we have a tent site rented at FW, but a friend offered to help us stay here, for $100.00 less than our tent site. I'm concerned about the travel time, but for the money and luxury, we are beginning to think its...

    best view for Holiday Wishes

My family will be at the World from 12/3-12/10. We had plans to attend the MVMCP, but because of some additional expenses, we are not going to be able to spend the additional money on the tickets. I really would like to see Holiday Wishes, we are staying at the Fort. Would the best view be from...

Stay on or off site with large group and two year old

We have stayed off and on-site, both have their advantages. With a large group off site is my choice, you will have room to spread out and it MUCH cheaper. We rented a house in Windsor Hills in June and had no problem taking a break in the middle of the day. Get to the parks at rope drop...

    To Park Hop or Not...

We do exactly as you do. We take a mid day break even in the off season, I have to have real coffee about 2:00 . After our break we go to another park for the evening for fireworks and the rides with shorter waits.

First Timer with Lots of Questions!!!

Depending on your child's height, she may be able to ride Soarin. My DD was able to when she was 3. She needs to be 40". You could even go in Innoventions with your DD, just look around, something might interest her. Must dos are: Spaceship Earth, the Land, Nemo, the boat ride in Mexico...

    Tips for staying offsite...?

We stayed off site in June and had no problems. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the roads and try to find the best way into the park. If you look on the Orlando Resorts forum there are some really helpful tips on getting to the parks. I would use my own car and not rely on the shuttle...
