When I lived in Oklahoma, in the winter when my driveway was still iced over from ice storms, I'd sprinkle kitty litter over the ice for traction. If I spill something that will stain on my clothes, I'll spray (non-aresol) hairspray on it before it sets in, then wash it whenever I do laundry...

I'm reading one now called, "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. It's a very dark story, but it's a great read! I have felt every possible emotion reading this book, and I'm not even finished yet.
