    Canada-"Under-Appreciated"?

I completely agree! And am shocked by the posts name calling this guy.....calling him an a**hole.......saying the CM's had a right to "rip him a new one...." They have NO right to be rude and nasty to a guest! Never. Ever. If they did not like his "joke" (I cannot imagine that he meant...

a gift shop after ever ride...

I don't like it. But is it Disney after all. The money taking destination of the world. So it is not surprising. I just keep walking.

Silliest question/comment you've heard about Disney?

Silliest things that I have heard/overheard at Disney: --I would never want to go anywhere else. Ever. :confused3 It is a big world out there......I don't understand that mind set about any one location. --The Rock and Roll Roller Coaster now uses Adam Lambert's music :rotfl: Imagine the...

Tell me I'll survive Splash Mountain!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Believe me, Disney has PLENTY of non thrill rides like you said. They are lacking rides with ANY kind of bite to them......and not that I think that this ride is "high thrill" at least it is not as slow and kiddie friendly as all the other rides at Disney. They need more...

Am I missing out by skipping Epcot?

Simply put: no. Epcot is outdated and just basically a large food court and shopping mall. It was a cool concept but because Walt passed away, they have not updated it. If Walt were still alive, he would be updating it and actually care about it being a "true city of tomorrow". Now it is more...

Tell me I'll survive Splash Mountain!

An unstrapped infant would be fine on this ride. Not scary or dangerous of thrilling in the least. A really, really tame ride. Trust me. Silly to even worry about it.

    Disney Quest Needs A Makeover

LOVE Disney Quest. My favorite part of going to Disney actually. Went 3 times on our trip a few weeks back and had NO issues with lines, broken down games, or crowds. Such a fun place--beats waiting in line at the parks for 3 hours to ride a 45 second ride...........at least at Disney Quest...

Ever have CM's take the Magic out of it?

I would not let a CM take the "magic out of anything" because short of slapping me in the face or shoving me or perhaps cursing me out......I don't really care how they treat me. They don't fit into my expectations for my vacation--this would apply to any vacation and any hospitality worker. I...

Some WDW trips not for family?

I don't agree. I think if the destination was replaced, the opinions in this thread would be different. And your examples are not even on scale with what I'm talking about. To go from asking what places/types of vacations interest your child and them having a little input to saying that...

Horrible start to our WDW vacation. 7rd old heart broken, DTD magic store closed

Exactly. And judging by the wording of the OP and the threads title, this kid is learning very young to let things get blown out of proportion and to make everything a big freakin deal. Sure kids get upset. I'm not mocking or doubting that. But usually in ten minutes they are WAY over the...

Yes, what a horrible start. How will he ever recover.

Some WDW trips not for family?

I just cannot imagine being raised or raising kids in a "it is my way or the highway" and "I make the money--so what I decide goes--no discussion!" mentality. Does it make you feel like you have all the power? Is it because as a kid your parents did that to you and now you can "rule" over your...

Just told DS9 he wasn't going...we leave in an hour

This is one of those threads that is kinda useless unless the OP chimes in again and answers the questions........... Mine are: Why is your wife the one who is staying home? Is she okay with that arrangement? It really does feel like she is being punished as well.....unless she does not...

Some WDW trips not for family?

I understand and agree, to a point, that parents pay and decide where to take family vacations. But what I don't get is the mentality that one would want to take their kids to the same place year after year after year. And let us not drag into the discussion the whole, "But some child in Uganda...

Some WDW trips not for family?

:thumbsup2 Awesome post. So true. I think it very selfish and short-minded for the parents to go to Disney for TEN straight years and not even to think about perhaps going somewhere else....... Talk about not expanding your kids horizons....which is part of a parents job.

What kind of bag do you bring to the parks?

I don't care if it is a Louis. Or a Sally. Or a Bob. I will not pay over $100 dollars for a purse! Especially one THAT small. My Target purses tend to hold up for a LONG time. :thumbsup2 It is all about having the "name". I have never understood that. Especially since the costly ones are...

    the matching t shirt things

It has nothing to do with "letting things bother us" it more has to do with the laugh factor, at least for me. Saying it "bothers" certain people is making a huge overstatement. Just as you are free to wear matching shirts and it does not bother you, then I'm free to walk by you in the park...
