FastPass+ Basic Info, Attraction List, and Suggested Priorities--Part I

Luckily for us, my own kids are a bit older, and don't think my nephew cares about Frozen yet. So I really didn't look at them for any dates and haven't paid much attention to the Frozen madness. That being said, I did just go through the motions to change my FP for 7/22, and looked for you...

FastPass+ Basic Info, Attraction List, and Suggested Priorities--Part I

I was in the same boat as you (AP holder), though my 60 days hit today. I have resort reservations 7/20-7/27. Was able to book all days of my stay for FP+. (though I didn't book anything for the last day, as we are flying out early) Basically got everything we wanted, and I didn't get online...

    Rental Car drop off/Shuttle

First time cruising, and we are renting a car (thru Budget) and spending a few days in Cocoa Beach prior to our Cruise. I've read previously that it's more convenient to drop off my family at the Port first, then take the rental back, as it's easier to get 1 person with no luggage on the...

    July 17, 2014 - 3 nights on the Dream

First cruise for my family as well, and we'd like to do the Fish extenders. It's me, my DW, and 4 boys (ages, 14,12,10,10). Will look for the FB page also.

    Chef Mickey's

A CM breakfast is a must do for us. On our last trip in 2012, we had dinner at GG and I was very impressed. Our food was delicious and the character interaction was more relaxed and longer than any time we've been to Chef Mickey's. :thumbsup2

    Disney Chase Visa worth it?

It's been well worth it for us. We try to put as much on the card as we can, pay it off each month, and we've managed to build up fairly nice reward balances. It really comes down to whether or not you think you will earn (and use) enough disney dollars to overcome the annual fee.

    Big River Grille

They have a fairly wide selection (5-7) of their brews at any given time. I've always enjoyed them. I'd recommend getting a "flight" of them to see which ones your DH likes. I believe the portions in the flight are 4 ounces each. IIRC, its a sample of every flavor they have at that given...

    SSR-Congress Park or Grandstand?

That is excellent advice!!! Can't wait to try that in Sept!! :cool1::thumbsup2

    Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom

It can get very crowded at the portals. Each interaction takes at least a few minutes, so you can be waiting for 5-20 minutes depending on the line. I have 4 boys under 12, and they all loved this!

Question about flying in late and using Magical Express

Yes, you'll very likely be stopping at other resorts. While I'm not sure the order WL would be, I've been on for at least 4-5 stops that late before arriving at our resort. Last time we flew in and arrived around 11, we didn't get to OKW and to our room til 1am. :thumbsup2

For those of you with a roofbag, do you recommend getting the protective mat? My wife is concerned it will scratch the roof. Thanks!!;)

    POP to ESPN WWOS

During marathon weekend in January, all the resorts had bus service to WWOS for the expo. Good luck with the race! :cool1:

Help me petition Disney to add these characters to the parks for meet and greets...

Darkwing Duck was one of the character picture spots on the course during the 1/2 marathon January! :thumbsup2 Was really surprised to see him. Unfortunately, it was early in the run and I was more focused on finishing than getting a picture. I'm going for more photo ops next one!!

    Please Lock

Great trip report!! You'll have a great time for Marathon weekend. Did my first 1/2 marathon there last year, and have signed up for the Goofy this year. Disney does a great job on organizing the race, and there is a ton of entertainment to see on the route. Nothing beats running through...

    Thoughts on Disney's Magical Express

Completely agree!! The only time it's been a longer experience was with a late evening arrival. We stopped at multiple resorts before we got to ours. But again....it's free, so no complaints here!!

For 2,000+ Mile Round-Trip Drivers Only! (III)

Our boys are 12, 10, and 8 (twins) We live just west of Allentown. I think we'll leave early and stop for the night a few hours outside of Orlando. This way we can check in early and hit the parks for the better part of our first day. Super excited to hear the trip isn't as long as I had...

For 2,000+ Mile Round-Trip Drivers Only! (III)

Shockingly, we are driving from an hour north of Philly to WDW on the same day!! I'm fairly new to the area, having come from Chicago, but have been repeatedly warned to avoid 95 til past DC. Someone suggested going I-81 to I-77 and finally hooking into I-95 in S. Carolina. I have 4 kids...
