Yes, the fees are where the real cost is, but using that logic it wont matter b/c I will not be able to put gas in my car or pay for auto insurance when they are 10x what they are today.
Agree with everyone else - the process is very low key. The guide we had while ther was not very helpful, so when we called back a month or so later we got a different one. The whole buying/closing process was as smooth as could be and our new guide actually made (or put a hold on) our first...
One thing you have to take into account is how you like to travel. If you are comparing the $$ for DVC to the cost of a value resort, you would never come out ahead. If you prefer to stay in the delux resorts then it could be for you. Before we bought into BLT, this is the analysis we did...
DVC membership makes one big assumption - that you do want to go on a vacation every year and you prefer to stay (or need to due to size of party) in the nicer resorts. Assuming that, it is a very good deal. Disney will tell you that you break even in approx 5-7 trips and the work we did...
We have eaten there twice - lunch both times. THe food is OK but by no means a favorite. HOwever, where else can you have 5 princesses stop by your table. Both times we were there i was very impressed by how they moved the princesses around so that everyone got to see all 5. Both of my DD'd...
We have had good luck going to a park(early- rope drop) the day after it had PM EMH - seems to be a little less crowded than normal. Or maybe it is just getting there early?? :confused3
If at all possible I would reccomend the week prior. This past year we were there from the 17th to the 23rd. The first few days the crowds were pretty light - helped by showers. By the last 2 days it was a struggle walking down the street - Toy Story had 120+ minute waits and Fast Passes were...
I think it is worth it. Our first family trip we had a 3 1/2 and a 5 1/2 and it was so easy to get back to the room mid day (GF). At the CR, even if the Monorail is backed up it is just a short walk. We stayed at BLT over CHristmas and walked to MK every time.
Agree with the other poster...
We took our two kids when they were 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 and that worked out well for us. THe older one was able to pretty much do it all and the younger one was old enough to appreciate most all of it. If there is any way to go in the off season that is a huge plus. Lines are shorter and the...
Have to agree about the studio room size. We had 2 studios over Christmas for 6 of us - we figured me, my wife and 2 kids (9,7) in one and my parents in the other. We ended up having to ship one of the kids to my parents room. No more studios for us
