Make a dog gain weight Update post#26

Glad he is eating and gaining weight! However, you do realize that babies are humans right? If you really want to get him off "people" food (which, if adoption is your ultimate goal, you should as most people aren't willing to commit to home cooking a healthy diet for the dog.) try Merrick...

What kind of dog(s) do you have?

As of today I have 1 hairless Chinese Crested, Stella who is estimated to be around 4. We adopted her in December and she is the best dog! She's my avatar pic...

What is the Easter Bunny bringing this year?

My kiddo is getting swim goggles, a door bell for her room from Avon, and a pack of post it notes! She loves her some post-its! Our neighborhood does an egg hunt on Easter afternoon and all the kids that participate get a goody bag of candy so more candy is overkill. Especially since we...

What are the must-do's for two adults in The Carolinas?

Yep! Flying into GSP gives you the most flexibility to see both states. I agree with the posters who said skip Myrtle Beach. Chucktown and HHI are so much nicer! Boiled Peanuts!!! And I know Georgia is the Peach state but I swear fresh Carolina peaches are better!

    Doggie Dentist?

Most people look at me like I'm crazy when I suggest this but incorperating RAW bones into your dogs diet will do wonders for his/her teeth. My 12lb Chinese Crested gets a raw chicken wing (skin removed) once a week. For a larger dog a chicken back might be better. Stella's teeth were...

    I need 21 sand shovels

It sounds kinda gross but what about looking in the pet area for a small kitty litter scoop? I doubt a kid would know the difference.

    Tell me your wish list!

I, on a whim, put a gorgeous Baccarat crystal ring holder on my wedding registry. I think it was in the neighborhood of $200, so pretty extravagant compared to my $60 per place setting china. A friend from work bought it for me! 10 years later I still use it everyday!

    Folding moon chairs

I have a couple of the style B chairs. They've held up pretty well, considering we've had them close to 6 years. We don't, however, use them very often. I don't know if they are any different now but I really wish the covers on mine were removable so they could be washed. Pretty comfy...

    Pet rescue adoption home visit.

From what I gather, this particular rescue takes multiple applications for each dog then narrows it down to the ones that, on paper, are a good best fit for that specific dog. Then home visits are scheduled to determine who's the best candidate. It's a pretty intense process.

    Pet rescue adoption home visit.

Thanks for the advice guys! We don't have a pool so that isn't a concern. I'm thinking hard about the doggy door now. The only reason I thought we should put it in is because the adoption listing mentions that she is doggy door trained. Maybe I'll wait and see if there are any concerns with...

    Pet rescue adoption home visit.

I am so excited! I feel like my family is finally ready to add a new furry member! I have filled out an adoption application for a beautiful girl who is currently being fostered in VA and am waiting to hear for the rescue. In the mean time I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice...

    Products you can't find anymore

When I was a little girl my Mom always washed my hair with Gee! Your Hair Smells Terrific shampoo. I'm sure it was probably horrible for my hair but I'd love to find some. It really did smell terrific!

    Boiled Peanuts!

Absolutely! Not boiled peanuts though, roasted and salted. But only in a glass bottled coke. Also great in an ice cold bottle of beer. And I love boiled peanuts. Yum...

Have you ever been present at a birth?

Please, encourage your DIL to have her Mom there. I really wanted my Mom there but knew that the only way that was possible was to have both Grandmas and I just couldn't handle that. My husband, wonderful as he is, just couldn't tell his Mom no so I told mine and still regret it .

Can anyone help me deal with this? (Sorry, long)

I'm sorry. Perhaps I typed too quickly and said no visa instead of on visa but Chad, as of right now, has a visa and is a legal employee. And to be very clear... she is not alleging sexual harassment (a civil matter) she says he attempted to rape her and had to be pulled off of her.

Can anyone help me deal with this? (Sorry, long)

I'm sorry guys... I never mentioned that Chad is not a US Citizen. He is on a visa and is leaving the country to avoid a ban. As for why I am mad at Sam...I am pretty sure that he thinks Chad did nothing wrong. His attitiude is they had been together before, so why not? The accuser...
