    POP vs AOA

thanks everyone!! We wouldn't stay in a suite. We opted for POP for dining plan potential and familiarity. My son has Autism and he has decided POP is the best option because we know where everything is and we love it!!

    POP vs AOA

OH and if there is free dining, does AoA finally qualify for it?

    POP vs AOA

We are planning to go in late October -- would that sway you?

    POP vs AOA

We've only ever stayed at POP -- thinking about AOA for the theming, but, does it share a bus with another resort? Can anyone offer me a concise comparison of the two? The price difference is negligible, so that is not a concern.

Hamilton ON fly from Syracuse or BUF?

I live in the Hamilton area (give or take) and I've always flown from Buffalo. Anyone flown out of Syracuse? Good, bad, ugly please!

    Flights booked for January 2013

I'm trying to wait and see if any discounts come out as our times are flexible. We can't go without some sort of discount, usually. Or we'd have to cut our trip much shorter. And we can't do that lol!! I really hope we hear discounts soon. Great rate by the way, I'll be flying out of...

How much did FD save you?

:thumbsup2 THIS. This is why my DH is adamant we'll pay for the DDP rather than load the $ onto a visa or whatever. I'll freak out or think of better ways to spend the money. no one will be happy then! :O I'm still REALLY hopng for free dining or a big room discount :)

    Character Dinners and Dining Plan?

I find that with the dining plan, the character meals are the ones that "make" the value of it. The food is excellent, of course, but it's the part where you don't feel you're wasting park time because you're still having the "Disney" experience!

    Need to burn some credits

You can use your snack credits for packaged food/candy that you can take home? Or get a lot of drinks and stay hydrated! as for your CS.... no clue. Sorry!

Servers reaction to DP vs. DxDP (or better)

I don't mind tipping at all -- we've only used the DDP (free) but my parents traveled with and paid OOP -- no difference in service at all! the part about tipping that bothers me is that I'm tipping 18-20% on such an inflated amount! Normally I'll tip 20% give or take based on how much money...

    Upcoming Disneymoon

Osbourne Family lights at DHS. Be there BEFORE they turn them on. Be ready to be amazed! :) They also have (had?) discounted treats and drinks in refilable mugs at one of the "intersections". Outside NY Newstand I think. Congratulations!

    January 2013 Discounts

We've booked. We have all our ADR's. waiting till October to book our flights, in case we have to shift our dates. I'm SO frustrated!!! Not even a rumour or a hint! Every day I get 1 - 2 emails from Disney saying "we're so glad you're planning to come back!" they put my dates down (Jan...

    Away.com artical on WDW

I don't think they're allowed to ask for a Dr's note -- the ADA prohibits it, I think. As for us, we've had and used our GAC. My son has autism, and is usually pretty easy going. Add in crowds, excitement, sensory issues AND waiting in lines... not so easy going. For us, we use it...

Surprising Kids with a Trip--Anyone have this go badly?

We've surprised our kids twice. We've sworn never to do it again. 1st trip, the kids didn't believe us, we were at the aiport lol - not a bad reaction but not a reaction really. The second time, we told the kids we were going on a shopping weekend. So we're all in the hotel room, I'm...

    Tell me about Hershey, Pa.

I went there in August, from Canada. We did the Chocolate World stuff, like make the bar, go to the movie, etc. It's not bad. The Museum is really neat, but not 3 year old neat, IMO. We loved Gettysburg, and we did Indian Echo Caverns as well. I'm not convinced a 3 year old would...
