3 weeks and counting - advice?

I think your plan is a good one. My experience has been that whether you go at a busy time or a quieter time of year, if you can get to the park for rope drop you will accomplish a tremendous amount in the morning. One thing you may see as your vacation begins is that you may accomplish more...

Will Crowd Calender change with December hours?

It's important to know that Touring Plans will possibly change their numbers up until you leave for the trip. I went from the end of March into the beginning of April and they changed their crowd predictions shortly before I left for my trip. If you do go during a crowded time, just be at the...

    Disney in August

From what I understand, many schools (particulary in the southern part of the country) go back to school in early to mid August. I think (although am by no means certain) that the second week of August will be less busy than, for example, the third week of July. There are still many schools in...

Never been to a WDW resort, but....

Visiting other Disney World hotels is definitely a fun experience, but I would not make it a priority on your upcoming trip, especially because it is your first trip there. Perhaps try to schedule at least one meal at a restaurant at one of the hotels, but your focus should definitely be on the...

    Epcot dining

The Coral Reef Restaurant provides a very unique dining experience. I haven't been there in awhile, but I recall that the food is pretty good. The ability to see the aquarium while eating is what makes for a memorable time. I recommend it very much.

    IDOL Experience show times?

I seem to recall from my recent visit that the shows started at 11:00, ran every hour and that the 7:00 show was the one that crowned that day's winner. Again--this is what I seem to recall---I'm not 100% positive. Have fun!

    Disney Major League Baseball Collectibles!

I don't think they are coming out with any other sports right now. These statues are being made because the Major League Baseball All-Star Game is in Anaheim this year.

    IPhone App (not Verizon)

Unfortunately the Verizon app appears to be the only official Disney one, but I found several of the iPhone apps to be helpful on my recent visit in terms of letting us know wait times...

    Disney Visa Benefits

Hello- Can someone explain to me how the Disney Visa card works? In other words, what types of Disney rewards does one get for using the card? Thanks so much.

Beaches & Cream - waiting times

As with all Disney World restaurants the wait time is contingent on what time of day you go. I was at Beaches and Cream over spring break (2nd busiest time of year) around 9:00 PM or so and the wait was one hour. Advanced Dining Reservations are always what should be done for all Disney...

Does extended hours mean bigger crowds?

If it is more crowded than you were anticipating then you might want to consider being at the parks when they open--that's what I did over spring break and I definitely beat the crowds at the major attractions. Don't worry about the crowds though--you will have an awesome time!!

    Favorite picture spots

Disney World is one of the most photogenic locations in the entire world. Every theme park has their own spots that are ideal for photos. One that I will mention is Epcot Future World at night--the entrance/exit near Spaceship Earth will allow for some great pictures. I got a great photo of...

I Was There During a Crowd Level of 10!

I stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. I had never stayed there before but had heard wonderful things about the hotel. I loved it! The look and feel of the hotel was wonderful and the small size of the resort made you feel close to the center of everything. Having been to Disney World...

Please help me get excited about Epcot

Many visitors to Disney World seem to assume that Epcot will not be an exciting place to visit. Having been to Disney World many times, I can tell you that Epcot is by far my favorite park to visit. There are numbers of rides and attractions for people of all ages. In Future World Test Track...

    Disney Major League Baseball Collectibles!

It was announced today that Disney and Major League Baseball have released statues of Mickey Mouse with each one being designed based ona Major League team. The reason for this is because this summer's All-Star Game is taking place in Anaheim and throughout California larger versions of these...

    Sci-Fi or 50's prime time?

I have been to both restaurants several times. I like them both, but would choose Sci-Fi. The drive-in theater design makes for one of the most unique restaurant experienes you will ever have. The food for lunch is much better than it is for dinner. 50's Prime Time is cool and the food is...

    Non-park adult activities?

There are several outlet malls nearby that provide wonderful shopping opportunities. I forget the exact names of the malls, but if you travel on Interstate-4 from Disney World towards downtown Orlando they will be on the right. I went twice on my most recent trip.
