Resort recommendation for 3 adult women

Hi - I am planning a trip in October to WDW with my mother and sister. My mother and I have been many times and we usually stay at Pop Century. Now that my sister is joining us, I need to find a resort that will fit us comfortably. Nobody wants to share a bed so I need something that has 2...

Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich

There are seats inside and outside of WPE. There are maybe 4 tables of 4 inside and maybe 10 tables of 4 outside. It's always easier to get a table outside than inside (probably because of the air conditioning) but the tables outside do have cover (umbrellas and stuff). From what I...

    TS on DDP.....dessert to go?

We have done this at many TS restaurants - Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Turf Club Grill and Cap'n Jack's. The waiters will also tell you what desserts hold up best for take out. Sometimes we save our desserts for breakfast the next morning!

Wolfgang Puck Express: Good CS meals?

This is a definite must! My mother and I make sure to eat here at least twice every trip! The pizza is fab and the salads are great too! One meal is also enough for two...you have room to eat your dessert!

Any experience with Empire Today carpet?

I would NOT recommend Empire. We used them to replace carpet in our family room with laminate wood floors. Yes, they were quick to install but when the floor started bubbling a few days later, it took multiple and not very nice calls from me and my husband before Empire finally came back to...

Where can I find discount codes for shows in NYC??

If you want to take a chance, many Broadway shows offer student tickets, rush tickets or lottery tickets for a really great price (around $25 a ticket and you can usually get 2 tickets). Go to the website talkinbroadway (I can't post links yet) and hit SRO/RUSH to get info about what shows...

Inspired by the "It's the thought that counts thread"

My MIL wins hands down for most unusual gifts. One year she gave my DH (her oldest son) a picture frame in the shape of a giraffe. Another year she gave my DH a rubber "G" stamp. I guess because our last name starts with a "G" so he can stamp things with it? Another favorite gift she gave my...

Teenagee trip to NYC.. Must Do's??

Not really a budget "must do" but how about a Broadway show? There's some great stuff out that even teenage boys would like! "Wicked", "Grease", "Hairspray", "Mary Poppins", "Spelling Bee" and "The Lion King" are a few suggestions. You can go to the TKTS booth and buy 1/2 price tickets the...

    Cap'n Jacks Restaurant at DD

My mom and I ate at Cap'n Jack's tonight and we both ordered the "Twin Lobster Tails" for our entree...boy were they good! Gotta love free dining! FYI...my mom ordered the "Berried Treasure Smoothie" for her beverage (not dessert).

    Dole Whip at the Poly?

We ate at Captain Cook's for lunch today and had a HUGE cup of Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve for dessert! It's self serve (they give you a cup when you place your order) and taste exactly like the one at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom. Just wish they sold pineapple juice so we could have...

    Can you define "house seats"?

The company I work for advertises in Playbill (the free "program" they hand out at shows). Playbill has 4 house seats for every show that they can use or sell. Since we advertise with them, we can buy these tickets from Playbill, if they are available. They are always good seats...usually in...

Airfare from San Jose to Orlando - 7/12/03 to 7/22/03

When you sign up with travelocity.com you can pick your favorite destination cities and everytime you go to the site they'll list the lowest available fare. They'll also e-mail you if the fare goes below a certain price you specify. Because of this I was able to get a $125 roundtrip fare from...
