You'll probably get put in lifeguarding if you're accepted. On the Spring 17 DCP apps, lifeguarding is listed as one of their four "high need roles" so if you put interest there and you have experience you'll more than likely be placed in that role. However, you never know with Disney!

To my knowledge, you also only have 10 days to accept your offer and pay the fee once you're accepted and received your offer letter. Once you pay is when you select your arrival/departure dates as well I think. Or it's the step right after. I'm a SA 2014 alumni, and I've also applied for SA 2017.

Disney does not release the numbers or statistics on how many CPs apply and get accepted or denied. There are some estimates out there, but you can never be sure since Disney does not verify that information. So unfortunately, I can't give you a percentage. Yes, those two attractions are open during MVMCP. In regards to MNSSHP, Jungle Cruise is not open and is a treat location. Pirates is open for the party, but was not open during parties last month because of it's refurb.

Yes, you do have to specify that you're going to pay with your Disney Visa and that you want to utilize that discount. It will not happen automatically.
