Recent Southern Caribbean Cruisers: Please share must do's/don'ts

We are booked on a 2016 Southern Caribbean. It will be my 60 something parents, 4 y/o DD, 8 y/o DS, husband and me. We want to book the Disney excursion Lobster lunch and catamaran in Antigua. But, I've been on several of these type excursions through Sandals, other cruise lines, etc. and...

Advice needed on booking excursions, etc.

Another question....does anyone know if Anna and Elsa will still be onboard the Fantasy in January? I have read that they were there during the summer and it was a ticketed event (meaning you had to go get a ticket once you board which told you when to return during the week for the meet and...

Advice needed on booking excursions, etc.

Sorry....just seeing this message! Not hyper-ventilating at all. Believe it or not, this planning part is a lot of fun for me! :goodvibes I'm not a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. I LOVE to plan. I guess that's why I was a teacher in my former life. :thumbsup2 Thanks for all...

Advice needed on booking excursions, etc.

Am I choosing a boarding time OR a check in time? How does that work? Can I only check in at the time (and after) that I choose when doing online check in? Then we wait until our boarding group is called to board? You say that 10:30 goes quickly. What would the next earliest time available be?

Advice needed on booking excursions, etc.

Thanks so much for all of your answers! :) Just to be clear...are you saying that I should book Palo and then check out before going back into my reservation to do the rest?

Advice needed on booking excursions, etc.

Hi there! It's been a while since we've been on a Disney Cruise. And, our booking window to do online check in, book Palo, excursions, etc. is quickly approaching. So, I have a couple of questions.... 1. I think I had read that the booking window opens at midnight. Is that true? If so...

    One day in parks...transportation advice

Thanks. That's what I was thinking but wanted someone to confirm. :) A few more questions though....we have never had a rental car while on property (always used Disney transportation). How is the parking at Epcot? Is the parking lot huge and they'll have to walk a long distance to get to...

    One day in parks...transportation advice

Need some advice on the best transportation options for our 1 night stay at Wilderness Lodge post cruise. Trying to maximize our 1 day at the parks! We will have a rental car to drive from the port to WDW. My daughter and I will be going to MK for the day on Saturday while my husband and son...

Not sure how to handle 1 day options...

Never thought of doing it this way....thanks for the suggestion :). Can I upgrade DH and DS's tickets at check in at our resort? Again, trying to minimize any frustration for the non-Disney fan in the family. Is this a pretty quick process? If not, I'll probably just scrap any thoughts of...

Not sure how to handle 1 day options...

So, they are still automatically sending new Magic Bands per reservation? I thought they had told me, back in November, that in 2014, people would have to reuse old bands or purchase new ones if they wanted them. I also thought I remember reading and/or being told that the Magic Bands that I...

Not sure how to handle 1 day options...

I don't think the dining plan has ever saved us money ;). I've done many spreadsheets for past trips using allears.net to price what I think our meals would cost vs. the dining plan cost. But, my non-Disney husband (gasp!) likes to have meals paid for in advance. So, I book it to make him...

Not sure how to handle 1 day options...

We are planning on spending 1 day/night at WDW after our 7 day cruise next January (we've been to the parks many times and just want to get our "Disney Park fix" before we head home). I am used to planning trips that last a week or more and include a package with tickets and dining. So, this 1...

Post your Eastern Caribbean Excursions here!!!

Has anyone done the Seaworld Explorer tour on St. Maarten? If so, does the tour start in the morning? Was hoping to possibly do the tour in the morning and then have time to go to Great Bay beach afterwards, if time. I think my 2 kids (7 and 3) would like this tour and it doesn't seem to take...

    Rental Car

Have you considered parking the car at a hotel for the length of the cruise instead of at the port? I know the Radisson Resort at the Port has parking rates that are pretty low even for those not staying there (well, that last part I'm not 100% on....if you're not spending the night there)...

    Sea lice @ CC

So, am I understanding correctly that I shouldn't have to worry about these in January on Castaway Cay? Is it more of a summer thing? Or, can it still be a problem if we get a random warm day?

Transfer from WDW to DCL to Universal to MCO

And, having the rental car available throughout gives us a lot more freedom...BTW, we usually use Disney transportation when we're just doing the parks...don't like to rent a car in general. ;)

Transfer from WDW to DCL to Universal to MCO

Do some price comparisons....if you're willing to check car rental prices often, you might get lucky with a good deal. I ended up doing a car rental (through Dollar) that we'll pick up when we arrive at the airport (a day before our cruise), leave at the hotel for the week that we're on the...

January 17, 2015 Fantasy Cruise Meet

Noticed that we have something that has not been answered for the FE extender information....this is "not" our first cruise. :)

January 17, 2015 Fantasy Cruise Meet

Good to know that there's a chance for good swimming weather on Castaway Cay. And, I guess if not, we'll at least most likely have warm enough weather on the ship while sailing. :thumbsup2
