    Itinerary change

Yes it was. We've been on Magic/Wonder numerous times but this was first time on Dream. Surprisingly smooth even on the ride out/back which was always choppy on other boats even during calm seas.

    Itinerary change

I think they're on their own to change the reservation. We were on that cruise as well (and from Columbus area too) but always book the excursions through DCL. It's a little more expensive but it's just easy and that's the real reason for taking a cruise in my book.

    noise question

I would say it depends on how much you enjoy the friendliness. Verandah is far more entertaining for those activities anyway.

    noise question

Never. Have heard other noises, kids melting down etc, but either we had two very quiet families this time (both with multiple kids) or the Dream is much quieter.

    We just booked...for next week!

We booked about a week out for the 8/10 and didn't receive luggage tags. They did flip-flop the nassau/sea days at well and there was one other ship (the Carnival Fantasy out of Charleston) in port.

    What is the process

We just did this last week. Arrived at MCO 8:30 am. Booked a week out and didn't receive luggage tags so we just retrieved bags and wheeled them to the check-in desk on level 1. We were given KTTW cards, assigned boarding group 3, and was on the 9:45am bus to the port (first bus left at...

    Booking our first Disney cruise!!

We had a deck 10 about halfway between mid/aft elevators. We booked about a week before sailing so didn't get much choice, but it was ok noise wise. Long walk from either end. There was a little noise from above but not as bad as upper deck on wonder/magic. Heard very little noise from the...

Best to book direct or with TA?

Exactly. Not sure why you took it so personal.

Best to book direct or with TA?

We tried to use a TA for our first Disney Cruise many years ago and decided it was more hassle than anything. It takes five minutes to book online (once your account, passports, etc. have already been setup from prior trips) and we don't have to worry about things being lost in translation...

Please tell me about driving from MCO to the port

It's a straight shot from the airport to the port on highway 528. There is a section of tolls...maybe two stops at a buck or so each. 40-50 minutes easy. MCO car rental is very busy. If you're not a preferred/priority member with the rental company it can take an hour + to get a car sometimes.

    MCO Hyatt vs other hotels

If you're not going to stay at the Hyatt (which is the ultimate convenience) just head to the port. Once you mess with bags and transport out of the airport...you might as well start your vacation with a fun dinner, beach, etc. instead of the hanging out at an Orlando hotel.

Recommendations: To stay on boat in St. Maarten or St. Thomas- yes or no?

Agree completely...and the key is getting Bones. Of all the cruises...vacations...world traveling...the day on Bones is in our top five. Kids still talk about that day and we'll book it for sure the next time we head east. St. Maarten....Maho beach is interesting if you like planes...

    Planning Help/Advice - 3 or 4 day Bahamas Cruise + Land/Sea Vacation

I think three day is just too rushed. Four day is ok and I'd recommend that for the first time regardless. We like the five days for a quick getaway (just booked on for next friday actually....) because they go to castaway twice. We have done 3 days in a pinch but like I said...it really...

    Getting to Maho Beach

If you decide to not go with Bernards, you can still most likely do both. There are vans at the dock that can take you for around $75, but you can also wait on a Taxi and price is around $35. We took a short trip over there later in the day, arrived around 3pm and spent about an hour on the...

    I have a question about smoking/verandahs?

If someone is smoking and it's blowing into your verandah...ask them nicely if they could avoid that while you're out there. We've been on quite a few cruises over the years and most Disney Cruisers are generally quite courteous. Another reason to avoid the parks...which seem to quickly fill...

~May 7, 2011~ 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Magic!

This is by-far the earliest we've ever booked a cruise and got to book excursions in advance. We booked some things a couple weeks ago which was about the earliest anyone could book. One of the butterfly excursions was "not available" and neither was the skyride at St. Thomas. We...

3 nights Dream and 7 nights WDW - too much?

I would schedule as much time on the ship as possible. If you have to do the parks then do them first. We've done the parks after returning from the cruise and after 7 days of top-notch service, no lines, etc. you'll want to shoot yourself or someone else after an hour in the parks. Kids...

5 night disney vs 7 night royal Caribbean

There's six of us and we usually get a two bedroom suite at the Residence Inn. Always happy with this one. Radisson is good too but they don't seem to have as many suites. We usually book pretty late and have trouble getting a suite there.

HELP- Need Driving Tips from Columbus Ohio to Boardwalk Villas

I would prefer 95 to skip Atlanta. Running 77 down to 95 the only real traffic mess can be Charlotte but that's pretty easy to avoid. I just ran a mapquest and they recommend going down 33 to Lancaster, Athens, etc and hitting 77 down in WV. While I could likely make the trip quicker that...
