Change of itinerary until June for Eastern Caribbean

It was booked directly with DCL, then transferred to Costco. We've gotten all other notifications directly from DCL, but nothing about this port change.

Change of itinerary until June for Eastern Caribbean

We are on the April 7 sailing. I just found out about the change to St. Maarten today, by randomly checking on our Cruise Activities page at the DCL website. We never got any email or other notification. Did anyone else NOT get a notification?

7/14/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece) Venice to Barcelona

Speaking of which, has anyone figured out the correct All-Aboard time for Ephesus? The DCL website says 4:45pm, but we just received our printed materials and it is listed as 6:45pm.

    High Tea

Is there still a Palo tea on the Magic?

7/14/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece) Venice to Barcelona

I just called and confirmed it is 4:45pm for Kusadasi (Ephesus). Initially she said 6:45pm... but then checked with a supervisor and said 4:45pm is the correct time.

7/14/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece) Venice to Barcelona

Keep us posted as to what you find out. I was about to email our private tour operator to let them know about the change, but I guess it may be better to wait a bit to see what is going on. I hope we get those two hours back and don't have to rush back to the ship by 4:45pm!

7/14/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece) Venice to Barcelona

Kind of a bummer for those of us who booked private tours based on the old port times.

7/14/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece) Venice to Barcelona

Did our all-aboard time for Ephesus change from 6:45pm to 4:45pm? when did that happen?

    Thoughts on Norway Itineraries?

    Thanks; this is great info!

    Thoughts on Norway Itineraries?

Yes, but the other cruise lines are able to offer longer port times on their Norway cruises with similar itineraries, so why not Disney?

    Thoughts on Norway Itineraries?

There are lots of Disney cruises with onboard times after 6pm. Most of the Med cruises, for example. Not sure why the Norway cruise is different; as someone else pointed out, the days are long and it is a shame not to be able to take advantage of them. Remember, with a 4:45pm onboard...

    Thoughts on Norway Itineraries?

Are the Royal Caribbean time showing the total time in port? How can you tell?

    Thoughts on Norway Itineraries?

What bothers me is the 4:45pm onboard times (on both the 7-night and 9-night Norway cruises). Royal Caribbean has a similar itinerary where they do 8am-6pm for Stavanger and Bergen; 8am-8pm for Alesund, and 7am-5pm for Geiranger. That's considerably longer at each port (for example, 12 hours...

    2015 sail dates?

And after you transfer it to Costco, can you still "see" the reservation at the DCL website? Can you do stuff like booking excursions and Palo at the DCL website?

    2015 sail dates?

So, just to get this straight... You can book at DCL and then move the reservation to Costco? Do you get all the same benefits as if you booked directly through Costco? (Particularly the Costco gift card, which is a substantial chunk of change). Also, is there a time limit to move the...

Passport - Link to outside verification?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what's the reason NOT to carry a passport when in a foreign country?... better safe than sorry, right?

Ever seen anyone famous on your cruise?

We were on the same Mediterranean cruise as Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli (and their family), back in 2011. They had the table next to us.

    Why the price difference?

Same here... huge price difference between our 11-night Med in 2011 and the 12-night Med in July 2014. The 2011 cruise was approximately $8700 (booked 10 months in advance); the 2014 cruise is $13,782. That's for the same category of room (5B), with 2 adults and 2 kids, before any discounts.

Rome in Limo Florence and Rome

We used Rome in Limo (in Rome, 2011) and they were fantastic! Our driver was Marco, and our Vatican tour guide was Braydon. I highly recommend getting a Vatican tour guide; it made all the difference! Braydon was a perfect guide for our family. Marco had tons of information about all the...

Just can't take the plunge - but I want to!

You will have an awesome time in Costa Rica. We did it a few years ago on our own... basically rented a car and copied most of the ABD itinerary. It was very easy and lots of fun. We also added Montezuma, which was a real highlight of the trip... staying in a bungalow on the beach for a...
