    DL vs DW

I agree with others that say go for it! We're veteran WDW visitors, but went last year to DL before the West Coast Cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is so different from WDW - it's lots of fun to compare the two - but enjoy both for what they each have to offer. The smaller size (easier to...

    July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

We got back home safe and sound late Saturday night. It's so sad to think that someone else is enjoying "OUR" ship and stateroom and dining rooms, etc. Did laundry all day yesterday and then repacked DD for band camp all this week. It was hard going back to work - took all day just to get...

    July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Thanks for the good wishes, Debbie! We're getting so excited for this vacation! I suspect that the DL fireworks will be much like Wishes at WDW, which I absolutely love! In fact, I listened to the soundtrack from Wishes while I took my walk this evening - made me want to be there even more...

    July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

I'm sure that my DD, Caitlin, would be happy to meet Sass. Maybe they can get to know each other by email and we can arrange some time at DL before the cruise. Just let me know how you'd like to arrange it!

Margarita sounds great to me too and so appropriate, given our itinerary!

I called DCL and they said you have sign up on board for Stem to Stem. But I'll definitely be at the Afternoon Aft wine tasting on Monday - it sounds great! And thanks for the offering to send the list. It will be great to see who all will be on board. On another note, I got my T shirts...

    July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

I was also interested in the Stem to Stem wine tasting and didn't see it. I sent an email to DCL asking about it. I'll let you all know what I find out. I have another question: how do you know what your dining rotation is? I believe it was Mommykeg that posted hers and I'd like to know...

    July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

I've been away from the boards for quite awhile, but did manage to get in on the West Coasters green T shirts. Is it the plan for everyone to wear these at the sailaway? It'd be awesome to get pictures with all the green-shirters!

DD and I got passports for this trip too and we got our in about 3 weeks as well. I was really nervous about having to send the original birth certificates, but they came back with the passports! We're good to go!

Hi Amous! I haven't been on the boards in ages and I'm trying to catch up with 51 pages of posts about the July 9 cruise. I saw where you responded to Sheila regarding "single mom-hood" and arranging for buddies for our kids. My DD is 16 and has been in touch with Sheila's DD. I'm sure she'd...

Sometimes it's the little things...what do you miss?

I also miss the 'sky buckets' in MK - that was a nice short cut from one side of the park to the other. I miss Figment and the original Imagination ride - they'll never match that. I just hope they never give up on COP. It's hokey, but it's Walt's and should alway be a part of WDW!

    July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

It will be me and DD (16 then). We can't wait. It will be our third Disney cruise with a visit at DL preceding the cruise. We also celebrated the one year mark (yes, we're sick people too, but isn't it great!!!).

    Why is everything the same?

This is such an interesting thread! I too have found myself buying less and less on each trip. Granted, we do go fairly often, but I'm sure if the merchandise was more varied, I'd still be leaving a lot more of money at Disney (like I used to do!).
