    Which Moderate Resort??

I don'use a car while I am at Disney so that isnt an issue with me. I have done the calculations after every trip. Adding in the airport transportation and resort fee. I still save about $1,000 for a week stay vs another Disney Deluxe. But I guess this post was for a moderate. I guess my...

    Which Moderate Resort??

I have a little bit of a different take. I would consider the swan dolphin. You get a deluxe hotel for the price of a moderate. The pool is awesome there and the location is great. Definately worth looking into. They have a lot of deals too, like teacher discounts, free nights, etc. I think...

Staying on property; doesn't seem worth it?

I just dont like staying off property. Too me it feels like taking seven individual day trips instead of being on vacation. Posted from Disney Forums Reader for Android

    Dolphin

we always stay at the swan dolphin every time and love it. I would agree they are comporable to the BC YC. But for half the price at least. I think the S/D doesnt get enough credit on these boards mostly because the people on these boards are hard core Disney fans and wouldnt even consider a...

Atmosphere at value resorts and AoA?

i would look into the swan dolphin. Its on property and would be more lile Bonnie Creek. Its more of a deluxe but for the price of a mod. They have rates as low as 179 a night I think. They also have deals if you book 4 nights the fifth night is free. You need to book Starwoods directly. I stay...

What have you done to go to Disney :)

I put every single penny I spend on my starwoods credit card. I mean everything, down to the $2 at the coffee shop. It adds up so much quicker than you expect. I put my cell phone and even my cable bill on it This strategy has allowed me to stay at the swan dolphin for a week every couple years...

    Understanding how big WDW is

I sounds like a great idea to have built Disney this way. It makes a sense, but here where you might run into a problem if you did it this way. The parks may be too close to eachother, so you may have contractions while in one park. For example, you wouldn't want to be in Future world in...

    Understanding how big WDW is

I know a lot of people think they know how huge Disney World is, but a lot are still suprised when they get there. I good rule of thumb would be when explaining the size is to compare it to the town or city they live in. I got a kick out of a someone's post last year that asked if there...

    Stroller for 8 year old?

We didn't go to Disney until my kids were old enough to be able to handle the walking. No way i was going to push around a stroller for a week. Just my opinion, I hope I don't offend anybody. But yes, 8 years old is too old to be in a stroller. For us, a stroller didn't even come up as a...

    What Deluxe

I would say the swan/dolphin. You get to stay in a deluxe for the cost of a mod. That have good deals goin on , as low as 179 per night. The location is great, walking distance or a quick boat ride to epcot and HS. Walking distance to the Boardwalk area, such a quant area. Awesome pools as...

Deluxe lovers.. Would you ever stay at a value resort if you can no longer..

Funny this type of question always turns into a value vs deluxe argument. I typically stay deluxe, but I would stay mod if I had too, but wouldn't stay value. I think the outdoor room entrance, the noise, and the food court only dining option are the deal breakers for us. Posted from...

    Should we skip Epcot??

I think you made a good decision. This is a perfect example of why we never go to Disney with other family or friends. Just gets way to complicated to plan. It makes it even worse if one family gets park hoppers and the other family doesnt. Posted from Disney Forums Reader for Android

The **New** Swan and Dolphin Resort thread ~ April 2012 ~ Please read post #1

I was just at the swan two weeks ago. The room we had was identical to the picture. I think there was another rehab in the early 2000's so you may have gone right before that rehab. I guess th question now is, what was included in the 2011 rehab, drapes, carpeting, furniture, wallpaper and...

The furniture is definately not new, its looks the same as the old rooms, I would expect the furniture would all be new as well. I would be surprised if the rooms were redone but the old furniture was not replaced. That my opinion, maybe I am totally wrong.
