Sadly, things like this no longer surprise me. I work for the state of Oregon in the cashiers office... we take the payments for a few different departments in our building....Mainly vital records. There signs everywhere (including two 5 feet by 5 feet wall signs) that say "vital records suite...
Every time we have a line cutting thread people say this (or similar,) and I don't understand that at all! Why is a group of adults different from a family? Do families no longer have to have proper theme park etiquette? Line cutting is line cutting. It doesn't matter if you're a family, a...
I had a similar thing happen to me when I was 9 or so. I was an all-star cheerleader and my team was at a 2 day national championship competition in hawaii. We wore our hair 1/2 up hair down with TONS of small spiral curls. My mom put my curlers in on Thursday night and I wore them (and the 1/2...
I agree with this. When my step brother and I were teenagers he would always sleep in while my mom, step dad and I got up early on vacation. I'm SO not a morning person, but something about being on vacation and exploring new places gets me going in the mornings. If anything gets him going, its...
Maybe I read wrong, but it seems that you canceled the F! package at brown derby to use 1 credit instead of 2. Brown derby is 2 credits all the time, not just for the F! package. I would trade that for either sci-fi or 50's prime time.
Hope that helps! :)
Oooh manicures & pedicures are a great idea!
What about picking a pearl in Epcot? My 13th birthday was when my parents got me my first piece of nice jewelry and it meant a lot to me, knowing they thought I was getting more responsible and growing up. I haven't picked a pearl myself, but...
I read through all of this thread and was really surprised to see the OP feeling that people had taken this wrong like that. It seemed to me everyone was just sharing how they plan their trips, and everyone seems to agree different strokes for different folks. Hopefully it doesn't get closed, I...
First I decided how many days of our trip I wanted to spend at each park. We decided on 2 MK days, 2 Epcot days, 1 1/2 DHS days and 1 AK day. Then I decided where I wanted to eat and matched the restaurants with the most convenient park. I'm going in Dec so park hours and such are not out yet...
The main draw of the dp for me was not having to worry about what anything costs while we're there. DBF and I are naturally savers- its a blessing most of the time! While on vacation though, I don't want to think about money while eating because I know it would cause us to not eat what we really...
:confused3 How is that not a valid question? Dbf and I are going through the same thing right now. You get 2 meals per day on the dining plan... Everyone I know eats 3 meals a day typically. And a snack isn't a meal to me, a snack is a snack. We'll be awake for 17 hours running around a theme...
I read in a trip report (of course I now can't remember which one, lol) about a CS in one of the deluxe resorts, I want to say the poly, that served sushi as a cs credit. It looked amazing and I believe it was $15 or so. Definitely sounded like a good value! Now hopefully someone can jump in...
I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm praying for all of you affected by this. Hopefully everything works out and SOON!
I'm a state employee and we've been having a furlough day every 2-3 months since Nov 09, obviously this situation is totally different but just wanted to say I kind of...
I agree with the PP's, I wouldn't want to live too close (to the world or land actually) Disney is a special place to me and being able to pop over for dinner or an afternoon just wouldn't be the same. Not sure if this will make sense to anyone, but its almost like a fantasy or dream place. When...
For us, I can't see any reason to get them... Its totally possible my opinion will change once we have a few trips under our belt but for this trip (and the next few, of course I'm already thinking about planning them ;)) there will be MORE than enough to occupy our time in the parks. Were doing...
Personally, I wouldn't spend the time some people do waiting in line. Actually, I wouldn't spend any time waiting in line lol. Since its mine & my boy friends first trip we're going to do Crystal Palace for breakfast, pooh & his friends were my favorite as a kid and I never went to disney as a...
If I were you on my first day I would do FW. Tour there until either you're finished, tired, or the park closes. Usually WS stays open later than FW so if you wanted (and not too tired) you could head over there tour a country or two then. On your second day you can redo your FW favorites at RD...
I think your plan sounds perfect! Try to get the timing of the ADR's so they aren't close together at all. DBF and I will most likely be doing the dxdp in dec, and the way I have it arranged I can't see how it will be too much food. We'll be doing a late breakfast or early lunch (before noon)...
