We have done both multiple times. They are a show, all u can eat food and unlimited beer and wine if u like such things which my family does....hoop de doo is more interactive but the luao is a good show. Though it lists chicken, rice, etc it does not list the way they are cooked or presented...

definitely stay onsite it is much more convenient and you will save time and money on transportation. The amount you save between an offsite and onsite value resort does not make up the difference.
