Just booked! Frank, Ashley and our son Frankie who will be 17 months when we sail. Our 9th DCL sailing and Frankie's 3rd. Spending Sunday night at the Boardwalk and may be go to EPCOT. We all need a vacation.

We have done it both ways. I like doing the parks first. Two different paces. The cruises are much more chill.

Congrats on your husband's retirement. I was an Army guy myself. My Father and a Grandfather served in the Navy. The Disney Alaska cruise has been our favorite so far. You will love it. We did the one out of Vancouver which was great. It was like an extra port.

Anyone visiting the parks before the cruise? We are doing two nights and one day before hand.

Did you get caught up in the recently last minute dry dock plans of the Wonder in January? I saw they cancelled two cruises. We are sailing on the Wonder on 10/19 from Galveston. Hope your plans didn't get ruined.

We are coming from Dallas too. It took us about 5 hours with three stops in May. Our son was only 6 months old on that trip and that was a long stretch for him. But he handled it like a champ. We didn't need the third stop but wanted him freshly changed and fed before going through embarkation...

F&A will be a party of four in two rooms. Frank, Ashley, our son who will be 2 and Ashley's Mom Patti. Looking forward to it. Headed out on the Wonder on 10/19. That will start to tie us over.

Wow that's wild. We only have 18 hours of the nursery time reserved. I guess it will be tight to get more on board.

My experience has been they balance the children by life raft. So certain rooms may be have to have adults or older children but not younger ones because the life raft assigned to that room is full of its allotment of children. Same for adults too. The room may fit 3 people but the life raft...
