Water Parks & More in 2015

Was looking at 2015 packages today and noticed something odd. The details for the WPF&M option on the package tickets doesn't list mini golf as a place to use the "fun visits". The "Learn More" pop-up on the current ticket page still has the mini-golf... But the details on the tickets...

    List of Fast Pass attractions

There are already quite a few with the magic band readers and even fastpass+ entrance signage with a clock. Small World was one of them, Character Spot at Epcot was another... In fact pretty much every ride and indoor character greeting at WDW seems to have the fastpass+ readers... It was...

    Has everyone seen this map?

Does the HS bus really use the Settlement Depot at Fort Wilderness now? In 2011 the only bus that used the Settlement (other than the internal buses) was the bus to the Wilderness Lodge... --Paul

    Spectromagic Rumors?

FWIW, I've seen the "new" (since 2010) version of MSEP a couple of times and I'm pretty sure the majority of the lights in the parade are LEDs.

Splash Mountain- NOT a 'Will I Get Wet' Question

I remember seeing Song of the South at the Fort Wilderness campfire when I was a kid... I think it was the summer of 1985.

Fourth of July fireworks -- same as usual?

I don't think that has been announced... This is the only thing I've seen: "Independence Week: It’s red, white and blue as Disney Parks salutes America with a 4th of July Fireworks Party — for an entire week, with patriotic lighting bathing the Disney castles on both coasts. Mickey Mouse...

    Triceretop spin, three people?

Last time I was there the TriceraTop Spin dinosaurs had front and back seats... IIRC, the control lever at one seat controlled the dinosaur up and down, the other seat controlled the fore/aft pitch... Here's a shot from wdwinfo.com Can't imagine this has changed...

    Biggest park peeves?

Even better are the ones who stop at the end of an escalator... When they stop on the sidewalk you can go around them, or at least stop and not run in to the back of them. But the escalator just keeps feeding people into the traffic jam... I've seen this a few times at The Land...

    Electrical Parade Route

IIRC, before the start of the MSEP, 2 people wearing illuminated costumes & carrying a lit bar/barrier walk the parade route in reverse (starting in Frontierland). I assume this is to ensure that the route is clear and to give the crowd an indication that the parade will be starting soon. The...

    memories,magic and you photo's ???

This happened to us too, back in Dec. It would seem that they have some roving photographers shooting specifically for the show each day. Perhaps they pull from that day's photopass too... BTW, the shots from the special photographer were added to our photopass when he took them...

    Camping gear membership...need help!

Depends on what kind of camping gear you mean... REI isn't the place for RV gear, but if you are going backpacking it's pretty good... Camping World would be the exact opposite. Either way, if you buy outdoor clothing, shoes, etc..., reasonably often an REI membership is cheap and never...

    RV mattress suggestions?

I've got a 2012 Keystone Laredo, after a 2 week trip earlier this month, we're replacing our mattress too :) I've read a lot of suggestions on various rv forums for bedinabox.com... I ordered one yesterday :) --Paul

    Long drive down I-75

We're considering pulling our trailer down to the Fort next summer from the Detroit area. I've done the drive once before, but only in a car. Does anybody have any suggestions for overnight camping stops along the way? I'm expecting to break it up into 3 days, maybe a short one on the 3rd...

Taxi from Epcot to the TTC

Still not sure I understand the goal of this, but the boat dock is about 3/4 of the way from Italy to the Boardwalk, just walking the last bit to the Boardwalk would be much faster than stopping and waiting for the boat, if it's running.

    Question about FW campgrounds

You can also have the tickets put "on" the KTTW card when you check in. Then they don't have to carry around both all the time.

Does anyone know, how many pressed penny machines there are?

FYI, this is because in 1982 pennies were switched from a solid copper alloy to copper plated zinc. The copper plating in post-1982 coins is very very thin, and when the coins are pressed it tends to expose some of the zinc core through the now smashed and stretched copper plating. Pressing...

Imagineer Dinner - Only at Brown Derby?

They are definitely doing Dinner with an Imagineer at Flying Fish... There was a sign at the front desk last week listing the available dates.

    Cantina de San Angel

We walked by there on Friday and they were doing some sort of training at the outdoor CS portion... You could see that all the registers and food service areas were staffed, but no one was eating. There was a cast member at the door in the construction wall, and she said they were opening on...

How to Conquer Fear of Coasters?

It's been a few years but I seem to remember there being some warning... Some audio to the effect of "Let's go" and then a stop light turning green before accelerating away. BTW, if you've never ridden a launching style coaster you really have to try it. I think they are way more fun than...

Return to River Country . . . And More! A New TCD Trip Report- April 2010

That is indeed a spike... I can't say I've ever seen a bolt and spike used like that to attach the rails to the ties. Is it like that at MK? Can't say I've looked at the trackwork there closely... It is, however, perfectly normal for the rails to not be attached at every tie. My...
