We just did a one way rental from Budget (got the car from the office at the Doubletree in DTD) to Port Canaveral on October 1. We had no one way charge, easy as pie transaction that saved us loads over using Disney's transportation.

We watched Fantasmic in September last year, our first year with no meal package. We arrived about 45 minutes before showtime, walked right through the line and then got snacks, a great seat and waited until the show began. We love September, this will be our third year to visit at that time!

I don't remember exactly how long the drive was from Sanford, I think it was about 45 minutes. We had a 15 minute grocery stop, after 15 minutes, they charge you $1/minute. We were very pleased with Allegiant, Sanford Airport and Happy Limo.
