In-laws by far are the hardest part. I just can't bear spending time with my two snobby sister-in-laws, listening to them trash people based on appearance and clothing. I love DH, but I wish the SILs weren't part of the package!
My 5 and 2 year old loved Mickeys Backyard BBQ. The characters don't vistit your table and sign autographs, instead they dance with the children. My kids had a blast.
The other character experiences have the characters making rounds to all the tables and taking pics and signing autographs...
We had them in the room on our last trip and I never in a million years would have thought it was okay to keep it! I'm glad I found this thread, I'll know for nest time! :)

I'm happy to hear your review. I have been wanting to eat at Tutto for a while but there have always been other places that everyone else wanted. Hopefully we'll get to do it this trip!
You can get Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks at the Poly for breakfast - yum. We also like the CS lunch at the poly - I like the asian noodle bowl and DH likes the flatbreads - kids love the poly chips.
We found the food to be good, and we were shocked how quiet it was for a character meal. The restaurant was nowhere near full, and there was none of the chaos that you get at most other character meals.
Your 7 year old son might like lunch or dinner at T-Rex in DTD. DD was 6 last fall and she loved it. The food was good, and the portions were really big.
We did online checkin last fall for the first time and we loved it. We had med room requests at the time of booking and we got the perfect room. There was no line at all, and it only took a few minutes until we were on our way to our room.
I will definitely be doing it again this year.
