Am I looking for the impossible? A QUIET restaurant...

We've had good experiences at Il Miluno at the Swan. Quiet and the food was excellent.

Best locations to drop off for the parks?

My wife and I are only going to EPCOT on this visit, but my son and his girlfriend are going to all 4 parks. Where are the best drop off losctions for Animal Kingdom and Disney Studios? We are doing breakfast at Kona Cafe so that's where we are taking them on their Magic Kingdom day.

March Trip - debate between two hotels! help please!

POR over AoA for me. The amenities alone over value make it a slam dunk, but the boat to DTD is icing on the cake. However, if you are going just as a couple, I'd give CSR a look. Closest thing to a deluxe you can get at a mod!

    Xmas bookings down this year?

We have weighed the pros and cons of S/D and find the location and resort worth the cons of no ME, Dining, and the room charge. We enjored our stay at Swan a few years back. Being able to walk to EPCOT and the Boardwalk, the resteurants, etc... at more than $250 a night less than BW or YC...

    Xmas bookings down this year?

Just curious. My wife got an e-mail awhile back from Dolphin offering $159 per night rates for Xmas week! I was stunned! If it wasn't for the prohibitive airfare and schedule finagling, we probably would have jumped on it. Is this just a S/D thing or are the bookings down in general this year?

Is Coronado Springs a victim of its size and food court?

I know you're not a "pool" person, but you can refill your mug at the pool bar if it makes for a shorter walk than going back to the main building! (Depending on where you stay of course)

Can't decide - POP, POR or CBR

I think POR is definitely worth $200 more POR offers Queen size beds which is a must for us. POR offers a boat to DTD I think you could get many different opinions on transportation, but we thought it was decent at POR. There are 4 stops, so there is no really long walks to the bus...

Is Coronado Springs a victim of its size and food court?

^^Glad I read through the other posts before I posted myself because this is pretty much what I was going to say. I'd also mention that the pool/slide is my DS favorite, and that includes WL and AKL. I also like that you can get lunch at the pool bar, a luxury you can't get at the other...

Dolphin and Swan Raise Service Fee again

They would be smart to just raise the room rate rather than show this fee. It really seems to upset people. However, the rooms are still over $100 a night less expensive than any of the other EPCOT resorts. Disney is just smart enough to throw just one price out. The average price of a...

What CM told me about pin codes

Thanks. Usually we use the room discount, but this time I think we're going with the FD. A Mod with tix is around $2400 with the discount, while the FD is $2960. This is for 4 of us. I've never been a big FD person, but I know we'd spend at least $1000 on food (very conservative estimate)...

What CM told me about pin codes

I call a lot and never got a pin until.... ...after this years trip. I guess traveling with a large group (9 people, 3 rooms) made us a better target. SIL, MIL, and myself all got PINs this week.

Did anyone get a FD pin today or Yesterday?

I got pins for up to 35% off and FD a few days ago. The 35% has dates thru the end of Mya, and some late summer early fall dates. FD has dates into March.

Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part One [Thread now FULL and closed]

The coffee maker in our room was a Cuisinarte pod maker. Make sure to use bottled water. The water out of the tap makes the coffee taste like crap IMO.

Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part One [Thread now FULL and closed]

...Cont. (Hope this isn't too long winded for you folks). When I'm on vacation at WDW I always leave alot of time to get places and don't sweat the bus service, which has been fine most of the time... ...However, the service was really spotty this year. We waited an average of 25 minutes...

Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part One [Thread now FULL and closed]

We just got back from our family trip to POR and WDW yesterday. We had reserved a river view room. Because my SIL had a party of 5 we knew we'd be in one of three buildings, 14, 27, or 38 at AB. I had requested first floor rooms because of the kids. My family and my SIL's did the online...

    Maya Grill?? Anybody??

We ate there both of our stays at CSR. The atmosphere is very nice, and our servers were excellent both times. The menu was alot better the first time we went, and the food was excellent. They seem to change the menu frequently and the 2nd time we went the offerings were not as good, but the...

    Coronado

I think it depends on when you are going. CSR priced out almost the same as POR for when we are going in April. We (DW and DS) think CSR is the best mod at WDW. From the pool to food court to amenities... That said, we're doing POR (Which we like alot also) this time with the in-laws. My...
