    Advice about President's Week Crowds

With the weather you're describing, it's a hot weather holiday (in my books). The forecast for when we leave home is -18 degrees Celsius (0 F)with wind chill of -26 or (-15 F), and we're landing to a low of 13 to 30 degrees Celsius. With our body acclimatized to the cold weather here...

    Best Moderate King Size Rooms

We stayed two years in a row at POR and booked a king sized bed. We actually got the same building in Alligator Bayou both years, with one room on the main floor and one on the second floor. In both cases it was a corner room, with tons of space, and a connecting door to the next suite. When we...

Poll: Where's your one favorite place in all of WDW?

This is giving me Goosebumps. 8 days and we're there, but after this thread, I don't know if I can wait. MK - Tomorrowland at night, riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, rounding a corner and seeing the castle, glowing magically in front of you. DHS - In the evening, sitting on a...

    Advice about President's Week Crowds

Well, since we're Canadian, we'll have the mitts and jacket, but I really don't think we'll need that. For us, it will be a warm weather holiday! I am planning on bringing a light fall jacket and a warmer sweater, but after leaving here (-35 degrees Celcius with the wind chill yesterday) I...

    Advice about President's Week Crowds

We definitely think alike. At our house we use Tour Guide Mike, UG touring plan and another online site to help with the planning. That's my husband's job for each trip. I've had most of our reservations booked since October with one sit-down meal each day. We have plans to try two meals out...

    Advice about President's Week Crowds

Thanks very much for the responses. I'm feeling much better about the crowds. DH and I are both teachers, but we usually try to go in August, so we've never experienced WDW with the crazy crowds. We've done DL and know what it can be like, but this will be new to see the World this way. I...

    Advice about President's Week Crowds

DH and I are arriving on Feb. 19 and staying for 7 days. We're also traveling with family, (DB, DS-inlaw, 2 nephews ages 10 and 15). We've always been to the World in the summer, and have never been there at the REALLY crowded times like Christmas, Easter, or Presidents Week. It's our first time...

Is there a time limit to Kimpossible?

We are going to Epcot during Presidents week (only 3 weeks away) and were wondering how backed up KimPossible gets during really busy times. Would we need to stop at Innoventions immediately upon arriving to the park to ensure we get one later in the morning? We had planned to do some of the...

where would you like to see Kevin do a Restraunt review?

It would be great to have Kevin take a larger group and review Boma. Also, Olivia's and Sanaa would be really great candidates. I didn't see them on the review list. I can't decide if I like the bad reviews or the good reviews better. I want to order everything you recommend, at the places...

    Any DVC teachers out there???

I teach elementary and DH is a HS teacher and consultant, up here in Saskatchewan, Canada and just bought DVC this winter. We're taking our first DVC trip in August. With a traditional school year and such a long distance to travel we find it's just not worth it to go for short trips. There...

    Mama Melrose

Last summer DH and I went to MM for a Fantasmic meal package. He ordered the tuna, I got the Chicken Pipette (pasta). We tend to make it competition, we get our food, taste our own, then try each others and see who won (had the better meal). It's a bit silly I know, but we love food and a bit...

    Help! Boyfriend Doesn't "Get" Disney.

This is the story of one of the converted. I was 33 when DH finally got me to Disneyland and it was okay. We spent 3 days doing Disney (touring commando-style so we didn't miss anything) and then spent the rest of our time checking out other locations and parks. Several years later we went...

Canadian DVC Owners ... what do I need to know?

We were watching the board for awhile before we found one with decent banked points. It was a 2042 OKW, but that's perfect for us. We expect we'll be able to buy an extension close to expiry, at least we're hoping. I think that with the dollar so strong, and with many Americans looking to...

Advice on Annual Passes and Tables in Wonderland

This advice has been great. Since we're going Aug. 3 to 17 we're not really going to be able to do the free dining. I'm wondering about ticket prices going up in August. I think that getting the voucher would be worth it and save us a few bucks. Thanks for the advice.

    Annual Pass and Dining Plan

One thing you should remember about the difference between TiW and DDP. If you have 4 people going, they all have to purchase the DDP for the length of their entire stay. With TiW, purchased with an AP, only one person needs to pay the $75 fee, but they get the 20% for everyone in the party, so...

Advice on Annual Passes and Tables in Wonderland

Thanks for the advice. I can't wait to tell DH. He'll be glad that he doesn't have to deal with it being mailed, we don't always trust snail-mail. Also, the tip for saving by doing the upgrade is great.

Advice on Annual Passes and Tables in Wonderland

We are going to the World in August this year and because we plan on returning in February and possibly in July, we want to get an annual pass to save money. We also have decided to forego the dining plan this time and get Tables in Wonderland instead. We want to wait as long as possible to...

Canadian DVC Owners ... what do I need to know?

We just purchased our resale over the Christmas holiday for $68 pp at OKW, with almost a year's worth banked. Since we're from Saskatchewan it was the only way we could get DVC without driving for half a day or flying into the states. The fact that you can't buy it in any provinces but Alberta...

    Magical Express??

We have used ME several times. The service was great. We don't wait around for our bags. We usually land later in the afternoon or evening, go out for supper and when we get back our bags are there. We just always carry one change of clothes with us, so we don't feel too rumpled to head out.

Help me convince my boyfriend Disney is NOT "just for kids".. with PICTURES!

I am one of the converted. It took my DH 12 years to convince me to go to Disneyland and then 3 more to go to Disneyworld. WDW is SOOO much better for couples without kids. I think the biggest thing for us was the resort. We stayed at PO-Riverside and it was amazing. The rooms were gorgeous...
