What other podcasts do you guys listen to?

Thanks! Yeah, we'll have to figure out a unique topic for another Disney show. Don't want to just rehash what we've already said. If you'd like to come on and do a review after your cruise, let us know via our site, email or fb. :)

    Independent Excursions

Stacy, we personally feel pretty confident booking outside excursions, but always do your research. Some outside companies such as shoretrips.com do guarantee that if you book with them and are late for the ship, they will pay for you to meet the ship at the next port.

Princess didn't stop to aid distressed vessel

Like the initial poster said, all the facts aren't in yet. We don't know if the Captain even ever knew. All cruise lines are required by maritime law to help ships in distress if they know about them, so if the Princess Captain is proven to be negligent, he will answer.

    non-alcoholic beverages

Also, the coffees in Cove Cafe are extra charge. I think the above poster is correct in assuming that they were not drinking non-alcoholic beverages. Beverages in dining rooms are included for all meals as well (even at Palo).

Noise in stateroom from kids clubs?

I was about as close to the kids clubs as you can get and heard nothing. They do a pretty good job of keeping them in the clubs, and I think they definitely had that potential issue in mind with the design.

Disney Cruise Line to eliminate Palo High Tea

I just hope they never get rid of the brunch!!!

    Ap shows and formal dining

Another voice saying "don't skip the main dining room because of dress standards". A button up shirt and slacks are fine, and women can get away with a nice pants and a blouse or any dress (even sundresses). I find Disney especially, tends to be pretty relaxed with dress as long as you appear to...

    Booking a Cruise

Another vote for using a TA here. If you book through a TA, you have someone on your side that is working for you. Why give Disney that commission instead of someone who can spend time answering detailed questions for you and who cares about getting you the best deal possible. And if, God...

    Fantasy non-rotational Dinner Menus

These are all I've found so far. I'm sure people will be coming back with those other menus soon, but I would guess that they are similar if not identical to what is on the Magic http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/disney-fantasy-cruise-ship-menus/

    Paris and London help

We combined a Med cruise with a 3 day London visit last summer and just loved it. Plane tickets are so cheap from London to Barcelona that it made sense for us. Before our trip, we spent some days around Italy, but were really ready to get on the ship after 5 days. I guess it just depends on...

Have I turned to the Dark Side?

You will be just fine. NCL has great entertainment, lots of food options and an extensive activities schedule. Staterooms are smaller, but other than that, I can't think of anything you should be disappointed in. Any questions, let me know!

    upgrade time

Wow, congratulations! This happened to us on our Med cruise, so I know how excited you must be. Enjoy!!!

    Tipping?!

Thanks! Last time we cruised Disney, we weren't made aware of a prepay option, but that is how Royal Caribbean does it as well with the envelopes. so it makes sense. When I referred to adjusting up or down, I meant cash rather than charging. For example, on Carnival, if you want to change the...

    Questions from cruise virgins

I think that as long as you are reasonably sure you won't be seasick, 14 nights is fine for a first cruise. Ours was 10 days, and we loved it. We never get bored on sea days, but you have to be game to participate in the activities around the ship or love laying out by the pool. We are big...

    Tipping?!

Disney is one of the most traditional cruise lines in terms of tipping in that you actually hand envelopes to the intended people with either vouchers or cash. Many lines these days allow you to prepay or automatically charge it to your sign and sail card toward the end of the cruise. On one...

Very good kids menus (sometimes better than the adults') ;)

    Royal Carribean and Norweigan

I love reading others' thought on this subject! Here I go with mine: I think cruising is an amazing value, and Disney is the one that got us started, but all lines provide amazing service and exceptional vacations. Each line appeals to different people and demographics, so there are little...

    Passports

Thanks! I guess it is just the couple of states that I have dealt with. I guess the point that needs to be made is to make sure it is an official birth certificate; we thought for years that what we had was official, only to find out it wasn't. That would be a crappy thing to happen at the...

Eastern Carribbean - Port Adventures or DIY?

I usually say DIY, so I am somewhat biased, but these ports really are easy to do on your own. Check around the internet for other shore excursion operators and compare prices for what you want to do. (Coral World, for example) In St. Maarten, the beach and shopping are walkable. But always, do...
