    Introduce Yourself Thread

Hey all, I'm a college student who just got done taking a course on WDW, and we actually got to go study in the Reedy Creek Improvement District. Anyway, if you all have any questions I would be glad to answer them... ask about anything Disney!

Blue Skies, Sunshine, and Unseasonably HOT Pixie Dust! Update 3/6 Final Thoughts!

The plane ride for a first timer is definitely an interesting time! How did the trip end up turning out?

Anyone have a waterproof digital camera?

I work at a pool in the summer and have a Cannon. I definitely suggest one, they take great pictures, and you can do a lot of fun things with them.

    Soarin' - where to sit?

You will most likely have feet in your vision at some point during the show. I'd recommend setting in the B section because you prevent yourself from having a weird side view of the screen if you're in A or C. Either way it's still an amazing ride. One thing someone says to do is to simply close...

    Dining is completely overwhelming me!

To be honest, the only time when it is really benificial for families to use the DP is when you are planning on using the meals for sit down venues where a plate can range from 20-50 dollars. Other than that, you get a good deal on the food you buy, but each meal usually comes with an entree, a...

Which park has the better thrill rides??

If you're going for rides, I'd definitely suggest DHS, it has the Tower of Terror, Rock'n'Roller Coaster, along with a lot of newere attractions that will keep you busy. Not to mention the studios do a GREAT job keeping people entertained in que lines and on the streets. For the thrill seekers...

    If money were no worry....

If money weren't a problem, stay at the resort that best fits your interests. If you like golfing, go to saratoga springs or one of the luxury resorts. If you're with kids, try staying at a resort that could cater to both of your needs; I suggest the Animal Kingdom Lodge since it has a zoo...

    Epcot morning entry procedure?

I was in WDW for spring break, and as far as I know EPCOT was not doing this still, the crowds weren't that bad and the wait lines weren't too terrible if you wanted to ride the attraction. It makes sense that peak seasons may alter the opening processes though.

what do you wear for shoes in the parks?

When I went, I ended up wearning a pair of fabric thong sandles from Hollister, they were thicker and soft between my toes and where they touched my feet so I didn't have a problem with them. Make sure to wear something that will dry FAST if it rains because your feet will get wet. Other than...

POP refurbed rooms with Flat Screens! Update Page 13 **

I just got back from a week at the POP, we stayed in the 1950's. The rooms weren't renovated, and the TV's were neither High def nor flat screen. The only thing that might be a saving grace for those of you staying, I heard other guests saying that their room's beds (the newer beds) were nothing...

    Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

Hey Ashley, When I went to WDW, I got the chance to meet someone who worked in the boutique; she seemed to love it. The hours were fair, and the work was air conditioned so she never had to worry about the weather. On top of that, usually she and her workers got to tour the parks after the...

    Pop Century

The pop is a good resort, and has a lot of places for kids to go and enjoy themselves so there aren't so many people in the rooms to make them feel less crowded (pool, gift shop, cafateria, arcade, etc). The rooms were a little small for 4 people, but it would definitely work for a week...

Strongly Disagree with Comments about EMH at Night

In response to all of those nonbelievers; here's a point to ponder. I'm a milkshake advocate; and usually have to time my milkshake indulgences so I don't get stuck in line at BK. Now, most days I go at 3 because kids are in classes and I don't get stuck in long lines. However; that doesn't...

Advice from Super Moms...What to pack?

We will be going to Disney World next Wednesday. I have a younger brother who is a lot to handle and we are all really worried about being around so many people (ADHD among other things), and we are trying to do our best to keep him safe as we travel. I have heard that there are temporary...

    Secret Bar in Magical Kingdom??

Hi all, so this is completely speculation. But I will be visiting WDW over spring break with my honor's communication class; we have been required to research different aspects of WDW in order to do a case study while on property. During one of my research quests I came across a piece of...

POP refurbed rooms with Flat Screens! Update Page 13 **

I'm going to be staying at the Pop on Wednesday of next week. I'll be sure to check it out and see what is true and what isn't. What specifically have you all heard about modifications; IE Plasma TV's, Privacy Screens, High Def Channels? Anything else?

Awesome! We're staying at Pop for our spring break. Have they made any other updates/conversions within the Resort or is it just the rooms?

Please allow me to introduce my students....

Awesome, do you know of any other modern aged bands or performances that may be going on in epcot along that same time?

Please allow me to introduce my students....

Just an FYI for those of us taking the class, there is supposed to be a punk rock celtic band performing at the house of blues during our trip. Anyone interested? They will be similar to Flogging molly I'm assuming
