You generally have to rent no later than 4:30 to have the boat back at 5 which is the time the resort marinas close.
I wish the resort marinas and bike rentals would stay open until at least 7 in order to take advantage of the daylight hours.
We went Halloween night about 5 years ago. It was wonderful. Not all the rides had long lines; a lot of folks were there just to soak up the atmosphere and get candy. We had a great time. We saw a young woman dressed up exactly like the "we want the red-head" girl from Pirates. The costumes...
What makes it tough to bear is the cost of the room. There's just no getting around it -- the Poly is expensive. And WDW is still a destination resort for many of us, involving a lot of transportation cost. My first trip to WDW in '86 was a stay at the Poly and we had multiple problems...

Go! Go! Go! :goodvibes Don't look back - no guilt! I whisked my son off to WDW after 8th grade; we had a great time! My husband is always relieved when he doesn't have to go, himself. ;) Stay all 10 days and enjoy yourselves!
